I often shop at Fred Meyers for my clothing. Russel T-shirts are priced at $9 each and in the same store a few racks away are other shirts costing $28 each. I know that high end store like Macys would have shirts priced as high as $40.

The most I would spend on a shirt is $20, but I will try and get shirts are 50% so I could get two shirts for the same price.

Probably around 20 something for at shirt. If you think 40 is a lot goto saks I give their price tags a double take.

Depends on the shirt, but in general, I'll probably say around 40.

Now at my age i spend about 30 - 40 on work shirts. For my self to go out about 30 or less. Back when i was 17 i would spend $100 on shirts, Guess was the name brand that was big in my days. They were nice shirts, but i was stupid. it was $120 for Guess pants, and $100 or more for shirts, i was an idiot.

My exception is if the item is for special somehting like a wedding.

On average, £20. But I wouldn't rule out buying a shirt for £10,000 if it secreted special pheromones.

Well taking into consideration the Currency exhange difference between Norwegian Kroner and US Dollar, and If the Shirt is to be worn in a casual setting or formal. Then if by Shirt it means a T-shirt rather then a buttoned shirt. The most I'd pay tends to be.

Formal Button shirt = 500 Kroner = 81 $

Casual Button Shirt = 350 = 56 $

T-shirt = 100 - 200 Kroner = 16 - 32$

Show me a good looking, well-made shirt that's going to fit right and last for under $20.

There's plenty.

Show me a good looking, well-made shirt that's going to fit right and last (buttons stay on, collar won't curl, etc) for under $20. Sometimes you get what you pay for. A K-Mart blue-light special shirt might fly in some offices, but not all.

oh... a button up office type shirt? Ah... I 'll got to $30 (and thats if it comes with the tie)

polo t-shirt, probably 20 dollars.

Long sleeve shirt, polos, rugby shirts, probably 35 dollars

dress shirts, probably 30-40, though Im not in a situation where I even wear dress shirts more than once a year or so.

just a regular shirt $10. I usually get all of my clothes from ross or marshalls and dress better than almost everyone i know. their prices are usually around 7.99-9.99 a shirt so that works for me. jeans are the only thing i pay full retail price for.
