Title says it all, are there any foods you have decided to eat a lot less of or cut out entirely? And for what reason?

For me it's french fries, I realized how bland they tend to be, and that I was more addicted to them than I really enjoyed them. Don't get me wrong I still eat french fries (usually the Arby's kind), but generally if I'm at a restaurant and the default side dish is french fries I'll switch them out for something else.

Food from places such as McDonalds, Wendy's, etc.

The thought of a burger from any of those places makes my skin crawl.

Velveeta Cheese Shells, but only because my local grocer hasn't got the memo the fake Velveeta shortage Super Bowl farce is over, they're selling them at nearly $5 a box, they used to be like $2.00 - $2.50, at best it's like $3.00 when it's on sale, still more than it used to go for. It's too pricey.

From what I read it's about how much you eat not what you eat.

From what I understand as well not eating big amounts of food fucks up your metabolism and puts you into hunger mod and you end up loosing less fat but more muscle.

Pop. When I moved for college, my roomates and I did not buy any for our house, and instead drank tea. After a few weeks, we bought some and I could no longer drink it. I didn't make the choice to eliminate it, but I am glad I did. It all tastes so disgusting now.

I try to avoid eating sweets, such as cake, ice cream, sweet cereals, as well as greasy foods such as french fries and fried chicken. Such foods cause me to break out with pimples (mildy, but still annoyingly). However, I occasionally slip, binging on such foods for a few days. I wish I didn't have this condition, then I'd be able to eat all of the cake I want.

Trying to stay away from refined sugar.

It's a good thing I know how to cook, because so much pre-packaged stuff has it.

honestly, my diet is pretty terrible; i just stay active. still, i've made some small goals for now.

like if i go to a fast food place (which i'm also trying to cut down on, but f*ck it), i'll get the chicken instead of the beef for the lower calories although they're still awful for you.

i rarely drink soda on it's own any more either. like i'll still have the odd mixed drink on weekends which may have soda in it, but it cuts down on a lot of the soda i would have been having.

also, i've been eating more vegetables in place of whatever other crap i would have had as a side.

  • Anything from KFC
  • Bacon
  • Pork
  • Every other type of meat unless blackened and well seasoned
  • Cornflakes and other similar cereals. (They give me instant headache for some unknown reason).
  • Sugar drinks (especially coke as it also gives me instant headache).

That would be instant noodles. Damn I used to love the stuff too much. Its filling, its tasty and most importantly unbelievably cheap. But I knew all along that its not good for me, not good at all. Now I would eat it every 10 days or so.

I also significantly reduced my intake of all forms of processed meat and chips, although I never really indulged too much on these.

I almost never drink regular soda. I've also become accustomed to drinking my coffee black, so that eliminates cream and sugar from that beverage.

I stay away from fatty snack foods and anything with high caloric/fat content pretty much. I'll have my moments when I eat some, but they're few and far between.

I used to eat at Macdonalds and such regularly until around 10 years ago when I realized the food mostly sucks haven't actually eaten at one of those places since then, the same goes for other similar fast food restaurants.

not that I avoid burgers per se, but I just prefer to cook them myself, less chance of it tasting like rat meat.
