I've volunteered before but not a lot. Also mowed some elderly ladies' lawn a couple of times for free. More than 50% of the populous seems to do.

I wanted to give blood, but I was in Europe so I got denied, also I have a tatoo.

I don't completely rule out that the good deeds performed in this life will be rewarded in the after life. But, I would advise people volunteering not to be taken advantage of.

For some people taxes end up being a half-year's share of their total annual salary. If you're working 40, 50, hours a week that ends up being a rather large portion of your life being drained away.

The last thing I did was pick up trash on a highway, but that was a while ago.

I feed all the stray cats in my neighborhood.  The neighbors are starting to complain and i don't understand why.

I'm a nice person (in public) and I give blood.

I go to work so 5 other people don't have to. 

I'll be working with City Year as a tutor for the next year to help lower the drop out rate in LA.

Last nice thing I did was volunteer at the elementary school in the city my mom works at for like 3 days. This was a year and a half ago.
