Whatever Top-40 sh!t is playing on the PA system. However, on my way to work today, I listened to the albums "Human" (1991) and "Individual Thought Patterns" (1993) by Death. Hearing the progenitors of my favorite genre is an interesting experience, as I not only get to hear it in it's most primitive state (in terms of patterns and sound density, not quality) but hear things that have inspired later bands (no specific examples, but some very similar styles and riffs come up every so often). They are absolutely fantastic, and make me yearn for some more, early extreme/death metal.
