I work renovations demolishing and rebuilding whatever in houses, and I swear every time I have a couple of days break to wait for the plumbers or electricians to do their thing or I finish a job my ears ring like crazy weeks afterwards.

Anybody else have problems with ears ringing? Tinnitus I think it's called. Sucks.

@k41m: Everybody has tinnitus to a certain extent. Your inner ear hates complete silence so if there's no noise around and you focus well enough you can always hear a ringing. The difference is whether the ringing is there when you search for it (my case, I just started hearing it because I thought of it) or if you're trying to talk to people and you can barely hear it over the ringing.

Mildly yeah.

I'm glad I drive a truck for a living. The silence of an office would kill me.

yeah. mine is fucked too.

too many years on a motorcycle.

i even wore hearing protection most of the time under my helmet but accumulated hearing damage from all the various sources just adds up a bit at a time over the years.
