It's not the best movie of last year, or even the best of that series, but it's a decent enough action/superhero flick. I certainly didn't leave the theater thinking that I hadn't gotten my 7 buck's worth.

Maybe the best superhero movie of the last year, although Lincoln definitely gives it a good run. (:P)

Definitely not the best movie of the year, or even close to it. I liked it more than Batman Begins (I absolutely hated that film; some of the most poorly choreographed action and weak storytelling in a blockbuster), but it paled in comparison to it's predecessor.

Why are so many people saying Skyfall? :/ShadowsDemon
Best film of the year? No. Better picture than The Dark Knight Rises? Undoubtedly.

No way it was better than Rises. Skyfall was really disappointing.

Skyfall was better than Dark Knight

Aw come on Skyfall was awesome.

I disagree. It was really disappointing to me.

Going to go with False for this question

False.

The Master, Looper, Skyfall, The Hobbit & Django Unchained were all better than TDKRThe_Gaming_Baby

>Skyfall & The Hobbit.

Bwahahhahah.

I agree with Hobbit being worse, but Skyfall wasn't too far to TDKR.

It had trouble contending with other batman films let alone "best movie". Wasn't bad though...

False. Did not care for the timeline of events and
how Bane was finished and that they needlessly showed Bruce with Catwoman at the end when Alfred's smile by itself would've sufficed.
No way it was better than Rises. Skyfall was really disappointing.

It features some of the most coherent, well choreographed action I've seen in an action flick in years, the villain isn't a glorified henchman, and it's just beautiful to look at.

The Dark Knight Rises is a mess.

Honestly the villain I thought wasn't that interesting, even though I enjoyed Skyfall. Action sequences were so good though.

still a better villain than mr. bleedy eyes from Casino Royale and whoever QoS's villain was.

besides, bane being nothing but a glorified henchman in the end isn't that bad seeing how that's how he's been portrayed in every single adaptation of the character from TAS to now.

He wasn't, but he sure as hell was more interesting than Bane.

I really enjoyed it, but there were other films that I liked more such as Cabin in the Woods and Django Unchained.

No disagreement here.

I was into The Dark Knight Returns before WB casualized it for audiences too damn lazy to read a f*cking graphic novel

I liked Skyfall more.

True, the only movies that matched it IMO are Argo and Django.

Django came very, very close tbh.

can you people just shut up about movies considering you have the taste of autistic five-year-old cripplesWolfattheDoor34
Okay...that's really sick.

False! There is no best movie, its a trick question!
#175 Posted by Agent-Tojed (162 posts) -

It would be, but the 2nd (or 3rd act?) was super messy. Argo and Django were probrably the best, though I haven't seen Atlas yet.

Django Unchained, Life of Pi, Argo, Lincoln, Zero Dark Thirty and Skyfall were all better.

The scene that always gets me in TDKR is when John Blake is yelling at those soldiers for blowing up the bridge, calling them "sons of ****" and saying "you've killed us" right in front of that bus full of kids. Then as John's walking back to the bus, the priest is like "okay kids, get on the bus, we're all going to die" and John Blake is like "woah dude, don't tell them they're going to die, that's not cool."

Did they intend for John Blake's character to have downs? Some of the worst writing I've seen in a movie.

And a lot of films released this year were better than Argo, Lincoln, Django Unchained, and Skyfall.
