These are my top 10, though there is no real order to it past the first two spots

  1. The Walking Dead
  2. Game of Thrones
  3. Doctor Who
  4. The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air
  5. Only Fools and Horses
  6. South Park
  7. Family Guy
  8. American Dad
  9. Star Wars: The Clone Wars
  10. Scooby-Doo! Where Are You?

I'd like to give an honorable mention to True Detective, we're about half way through the first season so I can't quite add it to the list before finishing it, but it's a great show so far.

  4. MacGyver
  5. King of the Hill
#14 Posted by lamprey263 (23948 posts) -

I've been on a Wonder Years kick the last few days, such a great show. I'm sure I've seen most of it but I don't recall ever watching the last couple seasons, so I'm working my way into it.

There's lots of shows on Netflix I lose watching, like King of the Hill, Malcolm in the MIddle, X-Files. Any show that allows me to watch episodes back to back without growing tired of it is a good one.

The lack of Eureka in this thread disappoints me :(

Scrubs. All day,

#22 Posted by turtlethetaffer (16760 posts) -

Supernatural, Seinfeld, and I also watch walking Dead and American Horror story although I don't know if I'd call either of them good due to how inconsistent they are.

#23 Posted by sammyjenkis898 (28096 posts) -

The Sopranos
The Wire
Breaking Bad
Friday Night Lights
Freaks and Geeks
The Shield
Avatar the Last Airbender
Six Feet Under
The X-Files
Buffy the Vampire Slayer

I guess. I feel like I'm missing something. Always find it difficult to rank sitcoms in these things (Seinfeld would definitely be in there.)

#24 Posted by TwistedShade (3165 posts) -

Glad I'm not the only one whose seen True Detective. I actually think the title doesn't do the show credit. It should really be called Existential Crisis: Oh btw Cops or Something.

@KHAndAnime: love Star Trek I find the acting is always spot on, you grow to care about the characters, episodes always have a moral lesson to them, special effects are pretty good, good storylines I could watch that shit all day I love it. Think my favourite is out of Voyager or DS9.

I have yet to watch Voyager because I've had many people telling me to avoid it. I still intend to watch it eventually though. Star Trek is one of those shows that is so incredibly flawed (in terms of continuity and writing), that I can't help to love it. They push the limits of their budgets and have created such a wide variety of imaginative scenarios involving space politics, diplomacy, adventure, research, etc. that even the episodes with the most ridiculous writing/acting/production are massively entertaining to watch. That's not to say that there aren't tons of episodes that have great acting, writing, and production as well. It's simply all over the place. I think all the shows have their fair of excellent actors and their fair share of abysmal guest appearances. ToS, TNG, and DS9 all manage to hit so many different ends of the TV spectrum that it's hard to reminisce about it all. Good and bad, interesting and dull, weird/obscure and cookie cutter, intentionally hilarious and unintentionally hilarious - Star Trek goes everywhere. It's like a better version of the Twilight Zone for me.

#37 Posted by Ariabed (1105 posts) -

@KHAndAnime: I totally agree although you sit there thinking this is totally far fetched something still keeps you watching lol

#38 Edited by hippiesanta (9866 posts) -

the show that makes me happy when out is

Game of Thrones

The Walking Dead

South Park

** typical choice for geeks

#39 Posted by immortality20 (7957 posts) -

X-Files is my all time favourite, rest in no order.

South Park
Simpsons
Supernatural
Dexter (first few seasons any ways)
Chuck
Buffy/Angel

There's more I like but hesitant to put them as "best ever" like Community, Arrow (if it somehow keeps up this awesome pace), Vampire Diaries, Grimm and others.

#40 Posted by Ariabed (1105 posts) -

@uninspiredcup: quantum leap lol I used to love that show, some of the situations he would end up in, like havin to be a woman very unique show, and was glad to see him playing the captain in the new Star Trek series.

#41 Posted by Ariabed (1105 posts) -

Yes, I'm a big paranormal fan, but pretty much only show I actually like for ghosts is Ghost Adventures. I do like Ancient Aliens too, on the other side. I'm a male, and Supernatural is an awesome show for guys, it has great storylines and can be very graphic. First 5 seasons are just awesome, as is the current season (season 6&7 were meh).
