To be honest, 'Climax' isn't THAT great

'09 must have been a really good year for animated movies since Up and Fantastic Mr. Fox were 2 and 3

Books list was good. "Bring Up the Bodies" and "The Fault in Our Stars" are FANTASTIC.

The other ones are pretty bad, but I guess the point is just to get people talking to get hits.

No love for the tv list? They named Parks the best tv show of the year.

#20 Posted by jim_shorts (7320 posts) -

These are all joke lists, right? When does the real one come out?

The fact Breaking Bad and Game of Thrones aren't 1 and 2 on their TV list discredits anything else on these lists.

That and The Walking Dead is nowhere to be found.

Frankenweenie - was it really that bad a year for movies? lol. I dont get the hype :(

I just remembered: isn't this the same publication that had Rise of the Planet of the Apes in their top 10 last year, while they agreed to show ads promoting Andy Serkis for a Best Supporting Actor nomination lol.

Neither is Sons of Anarchy. I realize it's an opinion but come on!

And American Horror Story is on that list. I like how they call the plot of season 2 coherent...

Also no Boardwalk Empire.

I thought the videogame one was pretty well made. It had some of the best games of the year on it:

Assassin's Creed III

Last Story

Halo 4

Dishonored

Xenoblades

I'm glad Mass Effect 3 wasn't on the list.

Do you like Frankenweenie??
#35 Posted by Cloud_Insurance (3279 posts) -

at least they were consistently out of touch across all the categories.

#36 Posted by the_phenom_ (2992 posts) -
I've haven't even heard of most of the top 10 movies. Haven't seen them advertised anywhere or anything.
#37 Posted by Lucky_Krystal (1730 posts) -

Bests songs list made me throw up in my mouth a little.

At least the best video games list wasn't that bad. And the Quotes and political memes were pretty funny. Pretty interesting lists. :P

#38 Posted by Stevo_the_gamer (42578 posts) -
An odd list of top 10 video games.
#39 Posted by IdioticIcarus (2242 posts) -

The Mountain Goats Transcendental Youthbeing on the best album list makes me really happy, though 8 is a horrible number.

The Lorax is on the worst movie list, but I liked it.

But Girls on the best tv series list, just no.

I haven't seen any of the movies on the best movies list. I should get on that.

#40 Posted by dramaybaz (6020 posts) -
That song list alone makes it irrelevant.
#41 Posted by SaudiFury (8707 posts) -

was going through the lists.

Cloud Atlas the worst movie of the year? fvck you Time. fvck you.

and i thought you were cool.:x

#42 Posted by LostProphetFLCL (17060 posts) -

Lists were all ****.

Not a single solitary mention of the Walking Dead despite the freaking INCREDIBLLE season it has been having.

Games list sucks as it misses great games like Borderlands 2 and Far Cry 3 in favor of some more questionable choices.

Albums list seriously features not a single damn album I have even heard of.... (granted this year has been pretty awful for me music wise, besides two albums...)

Movies list lacks The Avengers, Cabin in the Woods, and Wreck it Ralph (Which is seriously one of the best animated movies I have ever seen which is saying ALOT)

God they couldn't even give Gangnam Style #1 for best viral video.,...

#43 Posted by Omni-Slash (54404 posts) -
more proof that Time has no idea what the **** they are talking about...
#45 Posted by Baranga (14217 posts) -

I think they got their best and worst movies lists mixed up, because Cloud Atlas is the best movie of the year.

But then that would mean Amour is the worst movie of the year:?

Then you shouldn't have a problem with it being labeled as the worst film of the year.
