Movie is sitting at 99% on Rottentomatoes as of 2/6/2014 6:37 PM EST. Movie has dropped down 1%, but still an amazing score. I wonder if it will stay or go lower?
Who's seeing it this weekend?
I can't wait for it!

Don't know if I'll see it this weekend, but I will be seeing it eventually. It just looks like way too much fun to pass on seeing.
Initial reviews have been very positive, with more than a few comparisons to 'Toy Story' so I'll probably go see it.
I will be. I am a sucker for all things LEGO so it's a huge bonus for me that the film actually seems good.
Probably. there haven't been any good movies recently and it looks like it might be funny. Still not really sure who the movie is targeted at though.

From what I've read, the movie is great for all ages.

on must see list, the new director duo rocks at comedy ( cloudy with a chance of meatballs, 21 jump street)
And that is what I call the real BLOCKBUSTER!
I didn't expect that it's almost as good as you're building a lego structure itself, guess this is one of the prime movies you should NEVER miss.
That's a bolt from the blue!.
Trailer looked great but I, ha frankly, have come not not expect high scores from movies aimed at children that aren't produced by Pixar or Studio Ghibly.
It's unfair but silliness, slapstick, heavy cliches, and the strategic use of a cute, toyline worth character has become the norm for this sort of film.
It looked like a 2.5-3 star movie, really. A silly, fun popcorn flick.

Critics are all saying differently.
Literally every movie by Phil Lord and Christopher Miller:
"Ugh, why would you even try to adapt thi... Oh my god this is perfect."
I thought the trailer was terrible. Kinda surprised at the reaction.

go back to reading your graphic novel trash, hipster
Just bumping this thread so we don't have any mimic threads.
I saw the movie tonight, I thought everything was great about it, the humor was consistent and good enough so that if you weren't a child you'd enjoy yourself, and silly enough so that kids wouldn't get bored. The visuals were top notch, easily one of the most spectacular looking movies I've seen bar none. To top it all off the message was very solid, all around an amazing movie and I suggest everyone to see it at least once if not twice for the references throughout the movie.
As I posted in that other thread, I wasn't blown away by it. The "message", though commendable for their maturity, and chaos of the animation become a tad boring after the first act. The final 15-20 minutes saved it from being a total disappointment.
Watched it in 3D with the wife today.
It wasn't a constant LOL movie, except for any scene with Morgan Freeman's Wizard. But a smile never left my face, and it had a rather mature and adult twist in the final act.
I've been excited since the first trailer being a huge LEGO fan and am only delighted to see it getting such a brilliant reception. Now if it would only come out here sooner. :(
I saw it, while the movie itself was pretty good, the amazing part was the animation and cinematography. The amazing level of detail that it took to make a CG movie look like a photo-real stop motion movie is just unbelievable, and the "camera" work is phenomenal. Animal Logic really outdid themselves.
Saw the movie today after hearing all the good buzz (and my GF had already been interested) and by God the movie was AMAZING! Seriously an instant classic and if it isn't the best animated movie that comes out this year I will be SHOCKED!
Movie had me laughing my ass off throughout and the visuals were just INCREDIBLE! Top that off with great voice acting and you have yourself an incredible animated movie.
SPACESHIP!
Never had any interest in watching this and the trailer didn't do anything for me but now that I'm starting to hear comparisons with Toy Story I might...definitely a rent though, not in the movies...

Just go see it and you will NOT regret it!
I hadn't been pulled in by the trailer but decided to go see it due to the good word of mouth and it was just flat out AMAZING and a wonder to see in 3D!
The movie was PHENOMENAL. I saw it a few days ago, and then went right back to the theatre the next day and saw it again. Hilarious cast and writing, good energy, and a seriously emotional 3rd act made it one terrific flick. I was choked up a little at the end, gotta be honest. Won't spoil anything for you guys, but damn.
