one of the toughest face-offs ever for me. both of these shows are top notch and both of the mom's are hot and both named Claire. Yum. Love the shows.

So..

who are the better parents: Cliff and Claire or Phil and Claire?

who are the best set of kids: Rudy, Vanessa, Theo, and Denise (and Olivia and Sandra) or Luke, Alex, and Haley (and Lily and Manny)?

who is the hottest character on either show at any given time?

who do you think is the best tv family (past or airing)?

Well I didn't watch any of those series. I like the Banks Family in Fresh Prince with the first Aunt Vivian and da man: Uncle Phil. Plus Ashley, Hillary and Carlton are awesome too. Don't forget Jeffrey and Will of course. I also like the Barone Family in Everybody Loves Raymond. Robert is great, Debra is hot and Marie & Frank reminded me of my own family.

@Master_Live: gah... I need to watch Fresh Prince. I never had opportunities to enjoy it and so many people talk about it. I'll catch an episode or two here and there, but I never got to fall in love with them like so many have.

Everybody Loves Raymond is awesome. The Barone's were great. It's hard to say who my favorite character was, but Rob had a lot of memorable moments. loved his character.

I give it to the Cosby's. They don't make sitcoms like that anymore.

what about the Sanfords?

Also aren't Al Bundy and Jay Pritchett (from Modern Family) played by the same actor.

I didn't even think about the Simpsons being in the running until now. Animation counts too.

if you are limiting the question to those two I believe you made an error in the topic.

it should be the most ****ing unbelievably annoying family on television

You should read the OP.

What makes the Huxtable's or Dunphy's annoying to you? And which TV family do you believe is the best?

when you write about things subjective you have to allow for opinions that differ from your own.

I for one can not understand how people find Big Bang Theory amusing in the least.

The supposed geniuses get many of their facts wrong, the writers should take the time to do a little research.

the so called video game nerds don't know anything about the games they are supposed to play. They make the worst errors possible when talking about their fake World of Warcraft gaming.

and the most annoying of all to me is the racism against the Indian guy which was pointed out to me buy a second generation Indian man from the east coast who couldn't believe that this was allowed on television.

I watced a youtube video of BBT with no laugh track and could not tell which part was supposed to be "funny"

now that is my subjective opinion and I realize that some people will agree and some people will disagree.

and I will not get mad or annoyed either way.

The Keatons (Family Ties with Michael J Fox) and the Huxtables (Cosby show).

They made the 80s TV sitcoms. And both were on NBC.
