I personally only like probably 3 animes and you should watch Full Metal Alchemist Brotherhood. That is a good one.

I am the type of person who loves anime where they are in a town (mostly likely Japan and modern)

and it is a group of characters chilling.. (love, action or whatever... ) and all that stuff.. So far I've seen..

Toradora (I was lovin it)

Clannad (it was okay.. Too much fairy tale love for me...)

Angel Beats (That was hot)

Black Lagoon (that was too sexy)

Wolf's Rain ( it was ok.. I still need to watch the OVA and finish it up)

High School Of The Dead (MAzing)

Amagami ( after the first few episodes I found it crap... Only because it's the same things over and over but with different stories of him and another girl.)

Young_Charter

I would reccomend...

Gurren Lagann

Cowboy Bebop

Durarara

Baccano

Fantastic Children

Super Dimension Fortress Macross

Claymore

Berserk(Anime is good, Manga is far Superior)

Armored Trooper Votoms

Try Rurouni Kenshin. The setting takes place during the early Meiji period in Japan. The story is about a fictional assassin named Himura Kenshin, from the Bakumatsu (Late Tokugawa Shogunate) who becomes a wanderer to protect the people of Japan.

Does the anime live up to the manga?

I think so but the anime is a different beast then the Manga. Where as I believe the Manga is still going on, the anime has an ending to its version of the story and I found it to be Satisfactory.

If you havnt seen Code Geass S.1 and 2, i'd definetely recommend those.

One of the few anime's that i litterally couldnt stop watching before i were done, and i watched all 50 episodes in 6 days or so.

Also Afro Samurai, its definetely worth giving a peek.

Yeah I know the anime ends around volume 9 or so (I think) of the manga (and make sup its own ending). So you haven't read the manga? If not I highly recommend it.

I have read some of it, I need to read more. Actually from what I understand its not like Berserk where the anime ends abruptly. Claymore actually has an ending in the anime. The later episodes do deviate from the Manga, and it ends the story. So the anime has its own ending....

I love Baccano, but I would highly reccomend Durarara which is from the same creator of Baccano and itself imo is brilliant.

So did you watch DEATH NOTE or not? I told you to watch it like a week ago in your other thread about you looking for a new anime. Anyways Samurai Champloo is also one of the best animes I've ever seen, I loved everything about it. There is also Gurren Lagan, Paranoia Agent, and more Death Note

Besides Black Lagoon and Gintama, I have no other interest in anime. What got me originally interested in Black Lagoon was the carbon copy of PT-109. Gintama gave a look at what Meiji Era Japan may have been like. I watched both anime with a historical perspective.

I would reccomend...

Gurren Lagann

Cowboy Bebop

Durarara

Baccano

Fantastic Children

Super Dimension Fortress Macross

Claymore

Berserk(Anime is good, Manga is far Superior)

Armored Trooper Votoms

TheTrueMagusX1

I found the first half of season 1 to be painful in Gurren Lagann (all that bro crap)...after a certain event it got a lot better though.

Cowboy bebop was good (but I think people like it more than me).

I also liked Claymore and Berserk...but the endings sucked for both.
I think I was the most pissed at a show ever at the end of Bersek

The problem with Berserk is that the anime ended far too abruptly. Thats why I rather reccomend the Manga then the anime. The Anime ends at the end of the Golden Age Arc which is essentially the back story arc and tells why Guts and Griffith hate each other. The Manga continues far pass this, and also several vital characters are cut out from the anime that are vital from the Manga. Those characters are Puck and the Skull Knight, who play very important roles in the story....

Actually Code Geass has a second season. Didn't you wonder what happened after the cliff hanger? Admitedly though the second season is not as good as the first, but it is still good and I really liked the ending.
