Termination of account. How do I do this?

If anyone has an info on how to terminate my account I would be greatful. I am sick of typing for minutes only to have said comment come up as 'pending'. Myself family and friends will be leaving this site due game spot not liking anybody on their comments thread who hold opinions.

@mikees1: I'm assuming the "pending" is on chat and not the forums? That's because every comment that contains a link needs to be manually approved by a moderator. If you don't post links, no pending status =)

You can always send a message to the moderators and ask them to delete your account. I'll go ahead and let you know that if you get your account deleted here you also lose your account in other sites like GiantBomb, GameFaqs, etc. Also, no comments you have posted are removed once your account is disabled =)

@johnd13: I would suggest you delete your comment if you want to keep your account. That kind of suggestions can earn you an insta-ban as well =)

Getting your account banned is not the same as deleted...

Can they delete them now? I know they used to would not because it would screw up the system but everything is changed now.

I think the admins have that option now. He will have to contact the admins.

You could just not come back to the site and never log back in...not sure why you have to go through the hassle of asking for it to be deleted

I guess someone just doesn't want the association to this site to be left.
