Tell me about some of your pet peeves OT...

Here's just a few of mine:

1. People who walk extremely slow...I'm a fast walker so maybe it's my fault, but it annoys me greatly. I just go around them if I can, but still. If it's an old person or someone who is injured, then it's a different story obviously.

2. People who decide to have conversations (well above whispering level) in the library. Shut up and take it somewhere else.

3. People who act as though they're the greatest thing the world has ever seen. I applaud confidence, but not cockiness. I'm also irritated by those who are consistently condescending towards others, especially when it's not warranted in any way.

Only pet peeve is when people try and help without asking, or being asked. So many times have I had something going on only to have it go to hell because someone thought that they would go and help without knowing if anything actually needed helping. But then you don't want to yell at someone because wanting to help is a good thing, and at times it is hard to get through to someone that the road to hell is paved with good intentions without them taking great offense.

It's a losing situation and that's why it's a pet peeve of mine.

• When uninvited or unannounced guests turn up at the doorstep as it suits them, yea like I'll just stop whatever I'm doing to cater to your needs. Never mind the fact I might have actually had something else that I planned to do.
• Really loud cars and idiots that feel the need to rev them up for 5 minutes before taking off, just turn the key and piss off attention seeking jerks.
• Dogs that bark loud and won't shut up piss me off too.
• Fireworks as I shouldn't have to be subjected to constant banging, they scare the pets so ban them and people can go to a public display.
• People who stare at me when I walk by, in the animal kingdom that's a challenge so me being the beast that I am I always glare right back!

Bad drivers, obnoxious drivers, people with loud car stereo systems.

People who do not stop to think about anything but just react based on their emotions and/or what they've been told to believe. Internet comments such as on articles and videos have made me realize a lot about people, and it ain't good.

I don't do well in zetaboard forums, from my experience, doesn't seem to take long where I somehow wind up on someone, or multiple people's bad sides. Or I all of a sudden start posting in a way that pisses some of the higher ups off, or I just plain do something certain administrators don't like. You get the idea, so as a result I seem to either always get banned or forced to leave.

Christmas.

Yeah I hate the holidays as well. I'm definitely more of a business-day person.

I also hate it when I stay in a hotel room or timeshare, where people above you, are making way too much damn noise up there, especially if it disrupts sleep.

I am far too prone to having meltdowns if I don't get enough sleep. Don't ever disturb this bear girl while sleeping, thank you. :P

When internet personalities get cuckolded and then go and mess up /pol/ as a result.

Dumb parents that allow their dumb kids to run around in a store/restaurant.

People who mooch.

Religious extremists.

Weirdly enough, when people approach me and ask me what I'm reading/listening to in ways of starting a conversation. To me, reading or listening to music with my headphones on is like relaxing in a private place where I don't want to be disturbed so it just feels like somebody walked into the bathroom while I'm taking a bath and decided to start chatting with me.

Arrogant, ignorant, stupid and rude people annoy me as hell

When people drive to slow and I can't overtake.

When people slurp when they drink

When people smack lips, lick thier fingers and are generally loud while eating.

When a dog owner has thier dog off the lead and they say don't worry he's friendly....(well my dog isn't and he'll fight to the death when your dog is in range dont be so arrogant put your dog on a lead)

People who don't pick up and dispose of thier dogs poo

Kids at the cinema for a 18 or 15 film

People consuming 70000000 calories at a deafening volume at the cinema. Normally individually wrapped sweets or popcorn.

Not that I agree with people letting their dog off the leash (I hate that too) but if your dog is unfriendly isn't it up to you to train it better? Aggressive dogs are normally the owner's fault (not trying to be rude, but a lot of owners of aggressive dogs tense up easily or yank the leash and other things that make dogs jumpy and aggressive)

Tables manners. For instance:

We're trying to eat right now. We can talk later.

Not sure why many people do that.

Mhh here in the netherlands most people avoid conversations with strangers, so it shouldn't happen too frequently to you :)

People that don't know their place and stick their noses in other peoples business without consent.

Most 20-somethings around here are still pretty given to starting conversations with strangers if they're sitting next to you somewhere, but contrarily to Portugal they approach me with a "Hi" and not with a "what are you reading?", which is fine by me. No idea why it's such a personal thing for me though, I don't think most people would mind answering.

"What are you reading?"

Just so you know, the liability will fall on you if your dog attacks any other animal. So you might want to start training him better.

*Looks up with a really serious expression and says in a deathly voice* Obituaries...

I also don't like it very well while on the road, and get stuck behind someone that feels like they're going much too slow for me. I always want to try and pass them, but on the road, there definitely doesn't seem to be very much good opportunities to pass without risk of getting in an accident.

And yeah, I much prefer people actually using common sense. Really disappoints me when someone doesn't.

• When dipshits smack their lips while they eat, or lick their fingers loudly, or god forbid, freaking slurp and suck on everything. I know someone who could be eating a pork chop or a damn piece of pizza, and freaking suck and slurp on it when he bites into it. The sound of the saliva as he sucks food into his mouth is disgusting.
• People who let their farts rip around people and don't give a shit. I'm like "**** you."
• People who make pathetic little messes and don't even bother to clean it up. Like, motherfucker, you dropped crumbs on the floor. Fucking clean them up or I'll shove them up your ass.
• Cynics. **** them.
• Control freaks. Who the hell do you think you are?
• When pillows sit wrong on the couch, like with their corners folded wrong or creased wrong or whatever.

There's more, I'm sure.

Anti-intellectualism is really annoying to me, which is one reason I don't care for rightwing culture. I mean, I know the psuedo-intellectualism of many liberals is annoying as well, but I'll take pretending to be intellectual over being hostile or dismissive towards intellectualism any day.

Also, I really dislike when hardcore gamers use casual as a pejorative term. Neckbeardery in general is pretty bad.

Coughing near me. Slow walkers. slow thinkers. people that think they are smart when they are not. smelly people.....

Yeah I also don't like it when I'm sitting/standing somewhere, like at some public place, and discovering someone next to me/in front of me/behind me has an offending smell.
