One happened much closer to today, in what people otherwise would have believed to be a civilised age. It's not fully correct to say that people care less about one than the other, it's more due to the lack of awareness. I won't be surprised if more people are aware of 911 than they are of WW2.
Happens a lot in the media, they aalways concentrate on western civilisation. When world war 2 is mentioned the media rarely mentions the huge Russian, Chinese or commenwealth losses. Also everyone seems to concentrate on Germany, France and Britain when talking about WW1 and only sometimes mention Austria-Hungary and Russia ignoring all the other countries and the colonies.
Unfortunately there are much atrocities throught history that most of us are ignorant of.
Also I must add that much of the deaths during Stalin's reign were from starvation, due to high production quotas. Though of course many millions were systematically exuctued during the purges. And no they weren't killed out of opposition to Christianity, nor were they all christians.
Are you not confusing the Bolshevic revolution with something else? Even the most liberal estimate of people murdered out of genocide in the revolution is 500,000.
so you're saying that 25% of the russian population was killed during the Bolshevic Revolution? basically 3 times the number of deaths they had in WWII? :lol: sorry but not all of us look for sources at the bottom of a bottle of jack.
