American Apparel won. Why? Because of this:

"He claimed that the images remind him of child porn, and added when he once showed the pictures in a lecture, people working with the rehabilitation of sexual abuse victims almost jumped out of their chairs.

This view was shared by a number of those who backed the firm's nomination for the award. "Their vile paedophile images are so elaborately heinous that they are unbeatable," wrote 50-year-old Magnus."

Don't you think that if this is the sexist of the freaking year then we have basically come as is worth putting effort in in terms of women's rights in the western world? Isn't it more important to focus on other things than if some clothing brand has a brain dead hipster fuck and a girl with unbuttoned shirt?

This is the signal I get from this title. The reality is obviously different. This is barely sexism. If at all. Real sexism exists. Let's focus on that instead of crap like this. Or on millions of women living as animals in Saudi Arabia. Or I don't millions getting rape-torture-genocided in congo. Bawt naw! There's a picture of a woman in bikini.

Seriously fuck Sweden. And the guy making this needs some serious slaps to the face.

women like to feel attractive and they're more likely to buy cloths if they can imagine themselves feeling attractive or sexy, hence the model pose

yeah, act like it is kiddie porn you bunch of drama queens.

that's sure to give you credibility.

It's patently absurd to level accusations of "child pornography" when the photographs very obviously feature only adults and don't even depict nudity, let alone sexual conduct.

It's also more than a little bit hypocritical, given that Sweden is the country of origin of the movie Barnens ö.

AA is many terrible things.
Sexist really doesn't fit the list.

I do think that the decision to have the girl as such is in poor taste, the pedophilia claim is absurd. And you all gotta remember, Sweden is super sensitive to gender issues.

High standards of living, small gap between rich and poor, everyone is educated, everyone is in healthy (I saw no fat people there), a culture that promotes modesty and inclusiveness, and constantly ranked as one of the happiest places on earth? Sign me up.

And yes, they have produced good musicians. And IKEA (pronounced ee-kay-uh, by the way...)

Everyone is not educated or healthy. The culture does promote modesty. Basically "don't think you're anything special". That's not something positive. Not inclusiveness though.

No they haven't. No it's not pronounced that way.

Well I lived there for months and I can tell you you are wrong. Again I agree that the guy attacking AA is going a little far, but I think you need to get of your high horse, cowboy, and see other kinds of western civilization.

Kom tillbaks när du bott här 22 år.

Yes that's correct. So where did you get ee-KAY-uh from? Maybe I'm just terrible at phonology.

Funny, I am 22.

So if it is not "kay", how would you say it sounds? Ee-keah? Okay, I am willing to admit that isn't that huge a difference :/ Det spelar ingen roll.

Actually, no, I am starting to think you might be terrible at phonology.

Don't know how to write it. But that's probably better. According to wiki it is like Scottish people pronounce the a in save. Well in any case, it was my bad, I just don't get phonology.

Nice!

There is an issue here, but I don't think it's sexism.

It's using a woman appearing scantily clad in a men's shirt as a means of advertising it.

Wait a minute... that's not an issue.

Why doesn't Victoria's Secret wear the crown? Their catalogs are much more fap worthy.
