What the hell is this crap? Is Britain catching up with America in the process of pussification? I'm not saying they shouldn't be punished, but a possible jail term for spitting on someone? And "victim empathy" sessions and "positive thinking" workbooks? DaFUUUUUQ?

Also, I don't know about you TC, but if someone spitted in my face, I may temporarily lose my mind and kill him in retaliation, that's how infuriating something like this is to me. So I'm not sure what you're suggesting to should have happened in this incident. Should they have walked out completely unpunished? It doesn't seem right to me one bit...

Make them do community service imo. Same with prisoners sitting in a cell all day. Send them to Siberia to do hard labor for the 15-30 (life lol) term.

I don't go around spitting on people, and I don't want to encounter people that do. I don't necessarily think they should be jailed, but stick them in community service or something. Why should they be allowed to go around spitting on people? That's stupid.

What should be the punishment?

It's not. Though I think jail is a bit extreme.

How is spitting in someones face considered "assault"? It is physically impossible to injure someone by spitting on them and the lady was perfectly fine other than being "humiliated". These guys should still be punished, but jail time is ridiculous. I despise how everything these days is a serious criminal offence. Shove someone in an argument? Assault. Misread a girl's interest and try to kiss her? Sexual assault. Ask a girl out at work too many times? Sexual harassment. What ever happened to people just telling someone to "**** off"?

Also, I like how the bus driver had to call the police. Are people such cowards that they can't even stand up for themselves anymore?

I don't see the problem. Spitting on someone's face should of prepared you for any consequence, potentially worse than someone calling the cops on you.

I have no problem with this.

Spitting is pretty vile. Worse than punching someone in the face. Spit is a bodily fluid which carries bacteria that could harm another person. It's like a man ejaculating on someone. Same thing. In fact semen is actually cleaner than spit.

Spitting on someone is incredibly disrespectful and just a scummy thing to do. Maybe jail time is a bit extreme, but, honestly, I'm glad someone made that a rule.
