You gotta wonder how other primates get it on, most of them have dicks that are 3-4 inches erect or less. Especially gorillas that average 1.5 to 2 inches (shorter than the average person's finger).

That study isn't conclusive at all. It doesn't really support the idea that straight women are evolutionarily programmed to find large pensises more attractive. It just confirms that a lot of women like larger penises in this day and age.

I really don't understand why everyone thinks size mattering=bigger is better.

You gotta be the right fit for the girl. Plenty of women DO want it big, but some women just aren't built for that and need something more realistic. I don't think people understand that you really could scare a girl away with a giant schlong. There IS such thing as women preferring a more modest weiner.

Actually, a large percentage of women can't have vaginal orgasms.  Girth would matter somewhat to the ones who can, but even then the vagina is capable of contracting making size a relative non-issue.  The point is that all women are capable of cl*ttoral orgasms so knowing what you're doing is a hell of a lot more important than being well hung.

As to the OP, this means that a large penis is about as important to women as big breasts are to men.  Yes, there's an attraction, but it doesn't actually change the quantity or quality of orgasms.

+1 for truth. However, my girlfriend tells me that women have different orgasms depending on what's being used. If I'm going down on her it's different than if I'm using my junk. chrisrooR

I've always found this claim a bit weird, even though it is confirmed to me by numerous people who have first hand experience in the matter (i.e. girls). Hate getting personal like this, but I only have one type of orgasm, the "feel it all over your body like a pleasant sort of heartattack followed by complete physical relaxation" kind. Being a dude, I always wonder if I am missing out on something.

Another difference I always hear about is the difference between reaching that point and the duration. Women, I've been told, reach a particular plateau and stay there sometimes, then they can sort of cease and get back again. Men on the other hand reach a point of no return and then have to ride it out if they don't want to ... spoil it. At least one girl I have known in the past had to stop during the middle of that point and then experience the rest of the ride without stimulation. Doing it that way meant that she could then get back to that point, over and over again, without diminishing the experience. For me, reaching that point and stopping would be the kiss of death.

I sometimes feel like men really did draw the short end of the stick (that was a very unintentional pun on the topic title, but unavoidable) in the sexual world, being (at least, it seems) much more driven to the act, especially its finale, and yet having an experience that, while incredible, lacks the variance that the ladies seem to enjoy. There's at least one type of physical reaction I always notice, but not with every girl. I won't go into details, but it seems to me that this particular effect might be dependent on being long enough to actually feel it occuring.

All the muscular groups involved in male/female orgasms are the same. Whereas when we (men) orgasm, the most powerful contractions are the muscle groups around the prostate, in females these muscles pound the cervix into the vaginal floor (where semen would pool).

It is medically assumed that the male/female orgasm feels mostly analogous to each other, with the exception that females can sustain an orgasm longer and the whole multiple orgasms thing (though men can do the multiple bit with some practice).

No matter how I get there, it's the same in type (not always in intensity obviously). The method for getting her there can make a big difference, at least I am told that repeatedly. I think it has more to do with the sensitivity of the area of arousal than an actual difference in the orgasm. I know when I'm stimulated by oral sex my orgasms feel markedly different than during vaginal intercourse. It's still the same thing, it's just different areas are more sensitive during climax.
