Self explanatory title:

For me, it's Simple Plan and Your Love is a Lie:

They're not my favorite in the pop-punk genre (that would be Fall Out Boy and Green Day), but this is perhaps the song that makes me kind of interested in checking out some more of their work (I also kind of like Summer Paradise, but I need to listen to Singing in the Rain again before I make a concrete opinion).

'Babel' by Mumford & Sons. I'm not very fond of their music. I had a few listens to their three albums but they didn't click with me. Among their discography, one track did stand out and I come back to listen to it every now and then. That's the title track off their second album, 'Babel'. It actually has a number of elements that I dislike about their other songs (lyrics and song structure for example) but I like the overall melody (It reminds me of 'Battery Kinzie by Fleet Foxes. A band I love).

I also like the constant tug and release of on the verses. There's a bottle of tension before a release where all the instruments chime together. The banjo has a nice jangle to it, the bass adds a nice meaty punctuation and the acoustics provide a nice solid foundation.

@nintendoboy16:

"My ruin" by Sevendust

"Trouble" by Cypress Hill

"Hard to see" by Five Finger Death Punch

"Just a friend" by Biz Markie

"Drops of Jupiter" by Train

"One more minute" by Authority Zero

"We've had enough" by Alkaline Trio

"Save yourself" by Stabbing Westward

That's all I can think of for now.

They seem better when they aren't screaming.

Yeah I've always thought this song was epic but I hate GnR in general. I tell you man, this song has movement.

Can't really think of any. If I like a song, I usually like most of their other offerings.

Maybe Dave Dudley's "Six Days on the Road"? "Truck Drivin' Son of a Gun" is decent, but everything else I've heard from the source album isn't my thing.

I'm not a big fan of Nickelback. But, I like Burn it to the Ground, especially come NHL time. Every time I think of hockey, I think of that song.

I'm not a big fan of Kid Rock either. But, Only God Knows Why is one of my favorite songs.

A couple of one-hit wonders to me.
