song stuck in my head - how do I get it out

So earlier today I was in my room with my dog and my sister was in my parent's room watching the Bachelorette on xfinity on demand. From my room I could hear while she was navigating through the XOD menu the xfinity promo for the special they're doing on Taylor Swift's 1989 tour, and they were playing clips off her songs. One of the songs was Blank Space, and now I got parts of it stuck in my head.

How do I get the song -or more specifically it's lyrics - out of my head?

Something like having a song stuck in your head is basically the brain equivalent of having an itch, iirc. The best thing to do about it is to listen to the song in question in full to scratch that mental tick.

Either listen to the song until you become numb to it or replace it with another song. I have found replacing it with another song only makes it come back later though. :S

Okay folks, thank y'all for your advice. But the song is no longer stuck in my head. I think I actually got it out of my head before I even made the thread, it was in my head when I was out in the yard with my dog and the idea of making a thread about it popped up.

things could be worse. Last week these lyrics popped into my head " uh la la la la uh la la la, you go ooh ooh I go ah ah uh la la la uh la la la", I couldn't remember what song that was from, so later that day I googled the "you go ooh ooh I go ah ah" part and it came up that it was "Untouched" by the Veronicas which I used to hear on the radio back in the spring of 2009.

Later on on the day I made this thread, at about 6 p.m. (Eastern Standard Time), I was on the computer and my sister was in her room and she started singing some lines from that song, then my mother heard from the kitchen and she started singing. Luckily it didn't get stuck in my head.

Then later that night at a little before 9 p.m. I was watching tv, and I came across the tail end of Jurassic Park on SyFy. I don't normally watch SyFy but I watched the Lost World: Jurassic Park on SyFY which started at 9 and flipped to other channels during the commercials. Around 10:30-ish I was flipping back and forth between the Lost World on SyFy and Hannity on Fox News (uh oh! the bete noir of the OT libbies) and when I switched to SyFy the commercial was for that xfinity Taylor Swift special that I was talking about earlier in the thread. I've never seen a commercial for that "product" on tv before, only on xfinity on demand, and It was kind of ironic that I saw it on tv on the same day I made this thread. The commercial was kind of weird it shows a bunch of people sitting with excited expressions on their face and their jaws dropping like their at a concert or an amusement park, but then it shows that nope, they're just watching the xfinity special on their tv (I guess the point of the commercial is that it's supposed to be like a concert experience on your tv).

And while we're on topic, I might as well:
