So this has been trending all day and I can't seem to understand it. Why didn't she win? She guessed like two of them correctly? I've never watched the show before so I have no idea how that game even works. Can anybody explain it?

I've never seen the show but it looks like that she was supposed to answer differently from what was already there (and she couldn't see) and she didn't get any of them right.
I'm guessing they ask random people these questions and count the answers; the most common answer goes on that board and she was supposed to guess the other stuff people answered...then again, this is just me guessing and I might be completely off.
Anyway, that host sounds so boring...
She didn't get the points because the first person already said it. The video left off Steve Harvey (I believe it did anyways) telling her that she must have different answers, otherwise she'd hear that buzz sound.
The person who went first, said the things that were on the list. In Family Feud, you cannot say the same things as the first person.
Now that we're clear on the rules...why do people watch the show? Is that all that is to it?
It's a good thing to have on TV when you aren't paying attention.

Eh, it can deliver some decent mindless entertainment for gameshow fans. The current host, Steve Harvey can help make for some laughs.

Back in the day it was good when Richard Dawson was the host. The premise of the game is to guess what the "survey" (of random people asked the same question) would answer to whatever the question is. You have 3 strikes per family play before it's passed off to the other team. If they can't guess it, then the team with the most points wins the round. At the end of so many rounds, two people volunteer from the winning team to try and get 200 points in a timed round of questions. One goes first, while the other is in the back and can't hear. If they both guess to get over 200 points, then the family takes home like 5 grand. Like I said, it was great back in the 80's.

The part in the video is only the game played at the end with the winning family. Most of the show is not done in that style.
Anyway, Family Feud is my favorite game show and I'm surprised two people here have never seen it. It's been on TV since the 70's
@limpbizkit818: You do realise not everyone here is an American, right? Even if some other countries get the show not all of them will and even on the ones who do, it won't be as popular as in the US. I mean, I've HEARD of the show, but never felt curious to watch it =)

loin! loin! L-I-O-N!
It's a pretty decent game show to watch from time to time. Steve has been hit or miss, but mostly hit lately. Check it out, for sure.
@airshocker:
That's the bonus round played at the end of the game.
The winning family picks two people to play for the 20k prize.
Bonus round consists of five questions that were asked in a survey of 100 people.
You try to match answers that were given(going for the top answers obviously). However many people matched your answer is added to to your points.
Together the two players are trying to reach 200 points.
First player goes up and does exactly what the 2nd contestant did.
What you see are the first players results.
2nd player did not see or hear any of the 1st players answers.
2nd player can't duplicate answers given by the first player.

Steve Harvey is why, the guy is hilarious to watch when somebody says/does something stupid.
@fueled-system: Different strokes I guess =) I couldn't watch more than 2 minutes from the video Prophet shared =P
