I am currently watching the second showing of the second episode (missed the first thanks to Detroit sports) and am so far LOVING this series. Billy Bob is just awesome in this show. His character is like anarchy incarnate and I love how deceivingly evil he is.

Martin Freeman is also damn good as Lester, the neurotic salesman who just can't win in life. He is so twitchy and erratic he just plays the part perfectly!

Add to that a great script and great cinematography and you got a winner in my book. This show doesn't need a laugh track to make you laugh and the story is certainly engaging.

Anyone interested in a more fleshed out opinion can check my blog I have linked in me sig, but I really wanna hear what OT thinks of the show. I am sure there are at least a few people here who are watching this show and seeing how it develops.

Never seen it. It doesn't look very entertaining to me.

I loved the pilot. Freeman and Thorton are perfect.

I really like the movie and so far have enjoyed the tv show but I can't figure out what one has to do with the other to warrant the same name.

Loving it so far. Definitely feels like something straight out of the Coen Bros. universe.

The show takes HUGE amounts of inspiration from the movie.

Has the same setting, shares some similar characters, and shares the same themes and humor.

If it didn't have the same name people would be flipping out over it being a ripoff of the movie...

@RedEyedMonster8: It was boring to be honest. I got about 30 minutes into it before I stopped watching.

The films humor definitely isn't for everyone. It is really subtle and dry which is not a flavor that pleases everyone.

I'm enjoying it immensely thus far, but it's only been a couple of episodes so I'm hoping it will interesting to see where they're going to take all this.

Martin Freeman seems to be the "go to" guy for inadequate hero.

Caught it on demand last night and it was just okay for me. Pilot episode draaaaaaaggggggggggeeeeeeeeeeed for pretty much all of the show. I've never seen the movie, so basing off just what I've watched of the show, it's definitely not something I'll be tuning into again. FX usually has good shows too. I love Sons of Anarchy and enjoyed Justified too. Fargo isn't my cup o' tea.

It's PHENOMENAL. Love it so far. I also like that it has Breaking Bad style subtle, dark humor.

The premiere was pretty good. Haven't watched this weeks episode yet. Good cast. Is a tad bit slow, but I think that goes along with life around Fargo, ND. So far I don't see this getting huge ratings like Game of Thrones, Breaking Bad, or Walking Dead. But even those shows took a while to become insanely popular.

With the movies popularity and the show being so well-done, I see this show getting pretty damn good ratings.
