So who else has one today? Woke up to almost two feet of snow outside...and it's still coming down.

University and all of the local businesses are closed.

I wish we had a snow day today. It's supposed to be snowing pretty good in the mountains here though.

Ahh I wish I was a kid again. Schools are closed for the day, jobs are not.

Two hour delay, but I'm sick so I'm not going in for just two classes.

Where are you located? Because I live in Pennsylvania and we are supposed to get hit hard soon, and I need to get out of an evaluation in my one class.

Blizzard Warning here.

Got maybe 3 inches.  I'm in the midwest so we missed out on that killer snowstorm.

#10 Posted by Commander-Gree (4929 posts) -
I wish. I've got a sore throat and would really like to stay home today. Thankfully I've only got one 50 minutes class today, so it won't be too bad. We had a snow (ice) day last Monday.
#11 Posted by WiiRocks66 (3488 posts) -

No, just the flu. I slept 19 hours(the longest I've ever slept) and still feel like crap.

#12 Posted by SUD123456 (4520 posts) -

Yep.  It is bad out there with hundreds of accidents.  Work from home day.

#13 Posted by junglist101 (5462 posts) -

I'd give one of my nuts for a snow day right about now...

We got about 6" and a lot of drifting, but I had the driveway clear, and my wife and I went to work. Colleges don't usually close very often.

#16 Posted by jun_aka_pekto (16808 posts) -

We're here in Upstate New York. Same here. No school for the kids. The wife's work is closed as well. Everyone is encouraged to avoid traveling if at all possible.

I'm still on break although this is the last week.

No snow here in Ireland today. There was a bit a few days ago but it didn't last.

#18 Posted by CongressManStan (918 posts) -
They will literally not close down my school regardless of how much snow we get, it's school policy. I go to school at Michigan Technological University which get slammed by lake effect really hard.

You must be at the outskirts east. I've seen snow there along I-10.

We don't get snow in the immediate area but the sounding mountains get pretty white.

I live in Toronto.

Woke up to so much snow. I have shoveled twice already and its only been an hour and I need to go shovel again. Its suppose to snow for a few more hours too.

Most snow we have got in years!

Doing nothing all day but drinking hot chocolate, playing video games and of course shoveling.

Snow day here in Ontario! Its crazy out there.
#33 Posted by rocinante_ (1666 posts) -

yeah, it's crazy here in southern ontario. couple feet of snow so far and still fallin

#34 Posted by whipassmt (14162 posts) -

Yeah it's a snow day today. My school is closed for snow, but it doesn't effect me since I already graduated. My sister's school is closed, my father's work (a high school) is closed, and my mother's work let her out early at about 11:00 or so.

Gov. Malloy shut down the state, so only essential state workers have to go into work, nonessential employees get to stay home.

#35 Posted by nooblet69 (5162 posts) -

Not me, last time it snowed around here was 1982 and it melted upon hitting the ground lol.

It's -4 outside right now which is just.. I can't even believe it, after working in -32 -> -42 for the last month i'm really excited.

just got word that my office will be closing in an hour, no snow day but an early release is good enough. Hopefully this blizzrd will not be as bad as suspected, if so....then maybe a few friends and I will relive a few childhood experiences, havn't made a snowman or egloo in years.

#39 Posted by Blueresident87 (5340 posts) -

I don't get snow days, the place I work has little regard for the safety of its employees.

oh yes, those were the days. When the guy would plow the snow in the driveway, it would pile up towards the end and make a big hill, that my family and I would use to slide down and climb on or dig a cave into it. Snowmen were fun too, one time though my cousin and I made a snow woman, we used lemon halves for the boobies.

Pfff...please. To the locals out here, he's about as threatening as a wet taco fart. Besides, he hasn't been seen in public out here since his show got cancelled.
