Is there a good method to practice this? Because I can play guitar (don't know if I can sing but what the hell) and I want to do both and post some vids on Youtube.

I find it hard to even talk when in the middle of playing...

When someone asks me a question I kinda just stare at them for a second until I stop.

choose simple songs, like anything written by The Beatles, since their music is pretty easy. The main thing is to play something basic, then gradually go into more complicated music.

have you tried youtube for methods? Yeah, its really hard. The only way I can do it is if the part on guitar sounds similar to the singing.

Start by READING anything, it doesn't matter what, out loud while playing.

choose a song that's simple and one that's repetitive to get used to it. A song that you know well always helps too

Just start with easy songs..with simple tempo that you don't have to focus on..then work on more I dunno it just comes naturally to me, I never had a problem.

I think it's all in your guitar playing, I think you have to get to the point where you can change chords without thinking really. It makes singing alot easier whilst playing guitar.

Are you talking playing chords while singing or playing soloish stuff? Chords and singing are very easy to do, just takes some practice. A good song to learn how to sing to is most Jimi Hendrix stuff, Manic Depression being an easy one.

Once you learn to play you can sing. If you cant play the song, how are you going to sing to it? Practice makes perfect.

You need to be able to play the song as if it's second nature. If you need to think about the guitar as you play, you won't be able to think about the lyrics.

So, the first step is to know the song you're playing very well. Start with easier songs as well, you'll get a bit better at doing both at the same time.
