If she's happier as a girl, then I'm happy for her.

An acquaintance of mine had gender reassignment surgery after spending quite a bit of time in psychological therapy. Sadly, she now regrets it. It's really not something anyone should be quick to do. But I know other girls who have been very happy since their sex change.
