This March, I opened these accounts for the very first time in my life; facebook, linkedin, twitter, instagram, tumblr, flickr, soundcloud, pinterest, and google+.

Posted a lot of dumb stuff, doubt anything is incriminating enough to lose career opportunities. I like how I market myself, even as 'playmynutz' on GS.

Remember in Marketing 301 class an important topic was social media and marketing yourself.

Are you marketing yourself on social media? You should because it is the future.

NSA watches us anyway might as well submit our privacy to the internet.

Yeah, really depends what crowd you are aiming for; like girls who post half naked pics market themselves as models, or guys who try to rap market themselves as trap stars. A whole lot of people try to market themselves as celebrity superstars. Guess their goal is get paid 'show money,' people do get paid just to attend a dance club.

You can market any form of business or talent, my friend's masonry business is doing great because of Angie's List.

You joined those sites because you were tired of being left out and decided to "follow the herd", admit it.

That doesn't answer the question. To whom do you market yourself, and to what end?

Typical thegerg, you market yourself quiet well.

I market myself to generation x/y and millennials.

My end goal is to have a bunch of followers.

People are collateral worth way more than money like chattels.

I market myself by posting videos of my strengths and NEVER putting embarassing pictures online. Employers these days are looking at these social media to see your "real" side.

Twitter has been the most useful marketing tool I have ever used. Ignorant people think it's stupid, but they are dead wrong.

I agree, it is the future. It's cool how we are the first witnesses.
