I saw the KKK twice in my life, and both instances were interesting.

OP, you forgot Mara Salvatrucha (MS-13). While I'm not sure how 'organized' they are, they're about as awful as they come.

They'll come at you at a stoplight with your whole family in the car; they'll tie you up and make you watch them rape your little girls, cut out the fetus of your pregnant wife and eat it, cut off your penis and shove it down your sons throat and then kill you all.

Well, the Klan we know isn't the original Klan(1800s).

The original Klan was a group of military men that used terrorist like tactics on rich northern that they felt came to disrupt the southern way of live. I'd say the Russian Mafia and Mexican drug cartels.

I'd go with the Mexican cartels because they're every bit as, if not more, ruthless than the others and closer to home.

The Mexican Mafia is located in US (South California mostly) not Mexico (which has their own cartels). MS13, although originally from El Salvador, emerged in LA. MS put the number 13 to their name in order to show they are under the Mexican Mafia

The scariest crime organization by far is the US govt and all of its associated agencies. The others listed make their intentions obvious but the govt is insidious.

TOPIC: Russian Mafia. I don't know about some of the others on the list, but Russian Maf. works in small networks, where even their higher-ups and bosses will partake in the crimes. This means if the bosses are eliminated, their shoes are quickly filled , where as the Italians and Yakuza adhere to a strict family structure; so take out the head, and increase police activity in the area before any of their stupid little meetings give time for them to reorganize.

Also, things like the Witness Protection Program have decimated the "trust" factor in the family rings

Why not put the mexican cartels in a single category? in case you don't know there are also several triads, sicilian mafias and russian mafias, they are not all unified.

Oh and Salvatruchas are from Salvador, not Mexico, I don't know if they are currently under the payroll of the cartels but they are most certainly from Salvador...

Because the mexican drug cartels are also not related to each other. As i said, MS13, although from Salvador, are related to the Mexican Mafia now. The Mexican Mafia is a US based mafia of latin-american immigrants.

The Yakuza are tame compared to most of the others on the list, lol. They are ridiculously badass (getting hand-imprinted tattoos on almost their entire bodies, taking years to finish), but you can leave the organization by cutting off a finger. Some of the others I assume, you never leave unless you are dead.

The drug cartels in Mexico, Venezuela and Columbia are probably among the worst in the world when it comes to violence. And if they count, some of the African military's that have participated in the various genocides over the years as well.
