I hadn't seen this movie in years... so it wasn't too fresh in my memory. Man... what an intense movie. What did you think of it? The ending makes me so mad... Upham is such a coward.

It's probably one of the greatest films of all time.
Upham was a "coward" because I think he represents the person who was sent to war, but doesn't want to fight. To be honest, I think he acts how most "common" people would react. I highly doubt you would be able to simply stand up, go into a war and start shooting people, for example. (No offence intented)

It twaz good.
...
...
We watched it last year in school in social studies.. :P

When discussing it or somthing, the teacher told us that the bullets wouldn't have killed the people in the water.... Which was stupid, cause they wern't more that 6 feet under water, and the bullets were sub-sonic, and therefore they would be hit.... -.- He didn't listen to his Mythbusters....

Nobody in their right mind would... but when it comes to saving one of your friends who you've been through so much with... and sitting on the steps like a coward as he pleas for his life while a knife is being stabbed into his heart... I believe I would react and try to save his life.

that is very untrue IMO you might be just interested in the action and thats it...

i found this to be one of my favourite war movies of all time with its intense action, extrame violance and a real look into WWII...the only other war movie as famous as that i can think of is the deer hunter...i love that movie, incredible ending and that guy who is a coward is just a relistic character, lets face it...easy to kill somome in a game but not in real life...

A good point, but he may have been so terrified by everything that's going on around him, he may have been too scared to think straight and react to what was going on upstairs.
Still, I guess the only real way we'd know is if we were put into that position.

It was ok. I think Jumanji was better.
