okay, my pc doesnt have a very big hard drive after os and boot programs i only have about 680 gb, of which right now only 247 is available. So its starting to slow my pc down that and when running 3rd party programs like fraps etc it drops my frame rate horribly causing me to have to run low settings. I was planning on getting a Seagate Expansion 3 TB USB 3.0 Desktop External Hard Drivewhile its $30 off. Other then the issue of certain games that requiring c: drive installation would i run into any other issues? In other words would games running off of that hard drive perform as good as if it was running off of my internal c:drive? Also if you know of a better hard drive please let me know, from what im reading the 3tb version of this is getting alot of negative feed back. Id love to get a second internal drive just for the benefit of it being cooled by my pcs fans, but im not sure id be able to install it unfortunately. Thanks in advance for feedback.

You have 247gb free space I am not seeing what your problem is. I can't imagine the frame rate problems you're having are from the hard drive. Games should run fine off an external drive, I do it all the time without issues.

hmmm... I wouldn't recommend it although usb 3 could be fast enough but it's still more recommended that you get an extra internal drive for that.

okay if i get an internal hard drive would the WD VelociRaptor be worth the money? or would it be better to just get WD Red 2 TB NAS Hard Drive? Im leaning towards the red 2 i mean its not a bad hard drive but the veloci reads and writes up to 4 times as fast.

Hmmm I'm not familiar with those but I'd go with the faster one if the quality is equivalent. Why would you choose the slower drive if money is not the issue?

2 TB SSD, 2 EVGA GeForce gtx 680s and 32GB RAM should do the trick.
