I like the sound of having the newer characters, and dlc in one game. I still have to buy Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom.

Have you played the batman games?

@kitty: Don't get too comfortable. :x

I want to believe you. D:

How many systems have you killed? :P

The ps2 was the system that gave me the most trouble.

:{

One, my very first ps2. I accidentally dropped it :( I couldn't get it work after that.
But the ps2 was awesome D:

#603 Posted by zeroyaoi (1934 posts) -

@kitty: butterfingers. :P

It's a great system. Also have a bunch of games for it.

#604 Edited by BranKetra (48785 posts) -

That version of Marvel vs Capcom 3 is worth purchasing.

I have played several Batman games. Batman on the Sega Genesis could have been better. Batman and Robin for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System is a good game. However, The Batman Arkham series is the best single player superhero video game series ever made. I beat Batman Arkham Asylum and completed everything except one barely known secret. Batman Arkham City is a game I completed the story of as well and I intend to beat all of the side missions.

I have not played Batman Arkham Knight, yet.

#605 Edited by zeroyaoi (1934 posts) -

@BranKetra: it's a shame I missed out on Jill.

I've been thinking about getting the game of the year editions of arkham asylum, and arkham city.

It looks fun, and they're pretty cheap too.

#606 Edited by BranKetra (48785 posts) -

Jill is indeed unavailable. She is not top tier, but some players are good with her. Shuma Gorath is a more powerful character, though.

They are worth getting (Batman Arkham games).

maybe a kitty isn't supposed to try and hold a ps2 ;P

Me to. What are your favorite ones?

#608 Posted by the_foreign_guy (22656 posts) -

@zeroyaoi: Haha I haven't played it in a while. Eventually I'll get the gyms and get all the pokemon...eventually.

@BranKetra: You definitely should buy fire emblem eventually. I've had a lot of fun with it and it's pretty addicting.

@zeroyaoi said:

@TAMKFan: Awesome. Are you going to wait for collection 2 before you start watching?

Do you still play your older systems?

No, since I've already started watching it. I've even came across a few shorts which I don't think I've ever seen.

Yes, I do. I just played the PS2 some recently and will be playing some more of it soon, since I got several games for it earlier this month from two garage sales.

#610 Edited by TAMKFan (32755 posts) -

@kitty: Yeah, my room usually stays cool with the air conditioner on, so I guess my PS3 should be fine.

@BranKetra: I already have Super Street Fighter IV: Arcade Edition on PS3. For the additional characters and the inclusion of previous DLC content though, I'll probably also end up getting this new version of SFIV.

Also, good thing I got Marvel vs. Capcom 3 (the Ultimate version, that is) before the game went out of print.

#611 Posted by BranKetra (48785 posts) -

@the_foreign_guy: Final Fantasy Tactics is my favorite strategy game and Fire Emblem as a series is my second favorite. Though I consider it greater than that series, Fire Emblem is great and so I will eventually get it. I am replaying Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney, currently.

August fools.

#613 Posted by zeroyaoi (1934 posts) -

@BranKetra: Something to do with the Marvel license. Wish someone had told me.

@the_foreign_guy: Capturing all of the pokemon in the game was one of my goals.

Turned out to be too much work. :P

@kitty: bad kitty! :O

So many games. Do you remember War of the Monsters? I couldn't get enough of that game back then. I still have my copy. :3

@TAMKFan: Awesome, I haven't seen them all, so there will be some surprises.

Did you come across some gems? :p

#614 Posted by zanelli (818 posts) -

I came home to find a pile of Discworld books on my desk. What a random surprise.

I still play it, but not as often. I want my sequel. :x

And I'm someone who used to watch Looney Tunes on TV all the time too, so it's interesting to find a few shorts on these DVDs that I've never seen.

Yeah, a few. Like Burnout Revenge. And also the Onimusha games, which I've been wanting to try, but haven't yet.

Guardians got delayed here for some reason, so it's gonna be 2 weeks of trying to avoid spoilers.. >_>

Just got back from an IMAX 3D showing--was the most fun I had at the movies in a long time, and my favorite of the year (so far.)

That almost sounds like the reviews they have in the commercials.

Corny, I know...but the blend of action and humor made the movie that much more enjoyable. And considering that a lot of the summer movies this season were pretty heavy in tone, (Godzilla, Edge of Tomorrow) or just flat out crap (Amazing Spider-Man 2), this was just a blast to watch, and had me leaving the theater smiling. Can't wait for the blu-ray release of it.

Better than The Winter Soldier? Also was the 3D any good?

I enjoyed the Winter Soldier a lot, but I think this one replaces it as my new favorite Marvel film to date. Went to see it in IMAX 3D, and it was worth every penny. The scale that was presented was amazing, especially during the film's third act. Not sure how it would look in a regular theater, but I'd say spring the couple extra bucks for it. It's rare to see an space epic that actually FEELS epic.

IMAX is quite far form where I live though, so we haven't decided yet.

#636 Edited by Hallenbeck77 (14456 posts) -

@harry_james_pot: If you can reasonably make the trip, it's well worth it. If you can't do the IMAX showing, a regular screening will be great--either way, this is a movie that deserves to be viewed on a big screen.

All this talk about Guardians of the Galaxy is promising.

#641 Posted by double_decker (145822 posts) -

I'm probably wasting my time here... but hello to anyone who happens to be around. :)

#642 Posted by Colonel_KR (10 posts) -

And now, my REAL introduction post.

I’ve tried to fit in with three different forums in two and a quarter years, but I’ve found I don’t fit in with any of them. One of them regarded me as the closest thing to a dictator when I didn’t want to be seen that way, another I found out to have broken a more-than-a-year-long promise with me, and the third I don’t even want to talk about.

Without a forum to belong to, a piece of me goes missing, so I’m here to find that missing piece in a place where people will accept me regardless of my past Internet mistakes. I love talking about video games and stuff, and I just need to find the right place to do so.

If it’s not too much to ask, could someone please give me a hug?

#643 Posted by zeroyaoi (1934 posts) -

@kitty: Don't you have a warm and comfy bed? :O

@double_decker: Hello there. :3
