What is Dennis Rodman talking about ? What door is gonna open ? What's his deal ?

http://www.cnn.com/2014/01/07/world/asia/north-korea-dennis-rodman/index.html?hpt=hp_t1

Rodman is there to play basketball, but why does American politics think he can fix anything regarding politics in North Korea ? What is with him and Korea, why do they think he can fix things ? Lol ..

It would be awesome if on one of his trips to NK, the US just denied his entrance back to the states and he's told he can stay in NK.

It's mostly because Rodman is a fucking idiot. Acts like Kim Jong Un is just misunderstood while ignoring all the people who get sent to death camps.

I wouldn't worry too much about what Rodman says in the news. Him openly criticizing Kim Jong Un would either result in him not being welcome or could result in his detention during his next trip. Obviously he wants to play nice.

On the other hand, I would prefer not to go at all because of it being a shitty country (especially after they detained a Korean War veteran over 50 years after the fact), but that's just me.

In Rodman's defense, no matter how bad North Korea and Kim Jong Un may be, all it takes is a few clicks and you can find forums and news comments sections that will say the US and Obama are somehow worse.

I guarantee you he is being briefed by the CIA. This is probably one of the few diplomatic channels open.

They'll deny it, but only because they'd ruin it if they admitted it.

Politics and sports are 2 separate entities, keep it that way. I reckon Kenneth Bae is a spy, hence why Rodman wouldn't speak on that issue. But I love how the CNN idiot acts like NK is so evil yet ignores how the US holds innocent people hostage and assassinates people at will.

Oddly enough, the general principle behind what he is doing could be helpful in easing tension. The problem is...Rodman is a freaking lunatic, who will never be able to comprehend what his actions could do, good or bad.

I think Rodman considers what he and the other former basketball players going with him to North Korea consider this part of a plan to cause positive change in that country.

I see what you did there!

I don't think it's something all that bad. If there is one person who can teach KJU how to channel his crazy into something internal, it's Dennis Rodman. If we see KJU with green hair and a tattoo on his tongue, Rodman better be Time's person of the year.

The thing about this whole affair that I dont understand is this: why hasnt obama authorized a drone strike on rodman yet? I mean c'mon - he hit anwar al awlaki ( a US citizen) in Yemen who had been spewing some anti-us rhetoric, and then 2 weeks later killed his 16 year old son for good measure (who was niether a cleric, nor a militant) yet no drone for rodman?? Makes no sense at all

We're talking about Dennis Rodman here. With all the weird shit he's done, should his recent antics really surprise anyone?
