I had a similar but more high end model than that one, was a Samsung Smart, for a week a year ago. The so called "soap opera effect" was unbearable since I wanted mine mainly to watch movies but Panasonic had ceased their production of their 42'' 1080p Plasma model and I thought the 50'' just couldn't fit my room. Well, it seems all I needed was a little motivation. No I have that 50'' model. If you care about movies/ tv series you should quickly crank out a at least half a dozen just to make sure your comfortable with your purchase.

Looks pretty good. I would prefer if it were closer to $300 or maybe 42" for the price, but it should still be pretty good value with being a smart TV.

I would recommend getting at least a 120 hz TV.
