Let's keep the thread on track. Reposting my song.

3.5/5 ^ I'm starting to like this Joel guy ....

4/5, though not my type of music. I like the cool and laid back tone of the song; sounds like something you'd hear in a bar or lounge. Anyhow, here's a video of my co-worker.

I appreciate Billy Joel. It's a good song. The video makes me a little uncomfortable for some reason though....

3/5

EDIT: The song gets going eventually, be patient.

Here are the lyrics, because they are hard to understand:

"Excuse me? Doctor? Do you have a moment?"

"A moment? What's the question?"

"More of a situation, a gentleman in exam 3."

"What's the problem?"

"That is the problem, we're not sure."

"You got the chart?"

"Right here."

"Not much here is there."

"No doctor, no obvious physical trauma. Vitals are stable."

"Name?"

"No sir."

"Did someone drop him off? Maybe we could speak to them. Let's get some background on this fella."

"No ID. Nothing. And he won't speak to anybody."

"Well, let's say hello. Good Morning, I'm Dr. Lawson. How are you today? How are you today?! Look son, you're in a safe place. We wanna help in whatever way we can. But you need to talk to us. We can't help you otherwise. What's happened? Tell me everything."

"Alrighty, then ... picture this if you will."

"10 to 2 AM, X, Yogi DMT, and a box of Krispy Kremes,

In my 'need to know' pose, just outside of Area 51

Contemplating the whole 'chosen people' thingy

When a flaming stealth banana split the sky

Like one would hope but never really expect

To see in a place like this.

Cutting right angle donuts on a dime

And stopping right at my Birkenstocks,

And me yelping...

Holy fucking shit!

Then the X-Files being,

Looking like some kind of blue-green Jackie Chan

With Isabella Rossellini lips, and breath that reeked of

Vanilla Chig Champa

Did a slow-mo Matrix descent

Outta the butt end of the banana vessel

And hovered above my bug-eyes, my gaping jaw,

And my sweaty L. Ron Hubbard upper lip,

And all I could think was:

I hope Uncle Martin here doesn't notice

That I pissed my fuckin' pants.

So light in his way,

Like an apparition, that

He had me crying out:

Fuck me

It's gotta be

The Deadhead Chemistry

The blotter got right on top of me

Got me seein' E-motherfuckin'-T!

And after calming me down

With some orange slices

And some fetal spooning,

E.T. revealed to me his singular purpose.

He said:

"You are the Chosen One,

The One who will deliver the message.

A message of hope for those who choose to hear it

And a warning for those who do not."

Me? The Chosen One?

They chose me!!!

And I didn't even graduate from fuckin' high school.

You'd better...

You'd better...

You'd better...

You'd better listen.

Then he looked right through me

With somniferous almond eyes

Don't even know what that means

Must remember to write it down

This is so real

Like the time Dave floated away

See, my heart is pounding

'Cause this shit never happens to me

I can't breathe right now!

It was so real,

Like I woke up in Wonderland.

All sorta terrifying

I don't wanna be all alone

While I tell this story.

And can anyone tell me why

Y'all sound like Peanuts parents?

Will I ever be coming down?

This is so real

Finally, it's my lucky day

See, my heart is racing

'Cause this shit never happens to me

I can't breathe right now!

You believe me, don't you?

Please believe what I've just said!

See the Dead ain't touring

And this wasn't all in my head.

See, they took me by the hand

And invited me right in.

Then they showed me something

I don't even know where to begin.

Strapped down to my bed

Feet cold and eyes red

I'm out of my head

Am I alive? Am I dead?

Can't remember what they said

God damn, shit the bed.

Overwhelmed as one would be, placed in my position.

Such a heavy burden now to be the One

Born to bear and bring to all the details of our ending,

To write it down for all the world to see.

But I forgot my pen

Shit the bed again ...

Typical.

Strapped down to my bed

Feet cold and eyes red

I'm out of my head

Am I alive? Am I dead?

Sunkist and sudafed

Gyroscopes and infrared

Won't help, I'm brain dead

Can't remember what they said

God damn, shit the bed

I can't remember what they said to me

Can't remember what they said to make me out to be a hero

Can't remember what they said

Bob help me!

Can't remember what they said

We don't know, and we won't know...

God damn, shit the bed!"

4/5 Good song, Tool is a lot of fun to listen to usually.

@Kevlar101: After you type in the name of the band and the name of the song, type "lyrics" (without the "") after it and it will provide you with something like this.

Anyways, I rate the above song 2.75/5 and here is my next song

Here is a rare song(don't believe it was ever actually released) from my absolute favorite singer Keith Whitley. This song could very well have been the last song Keith ever recorded, and wrote before he died on May 9, 1989(exactly 3 months before I was born) thanks to alcohol overdose.

!!Warning!! You may feel lonely after this sad song the vocals really couldn't cut deeper. !!Warning!!

Don't know what the heck I just listened to, but I'm not going to throw in a number, I'll let someone else do it just to give it a chance(it wouldn't get a good score from me at all), since this is far from up my alley.

Not the biggest Aerosmith fanboy, but some of their songs are catchy and fun. Janie's probably my favorite song by them, even though it's pretty dark by their standards.

Here's the lovey song from the opening of Burnout Paradise :

Ye, it was written by Emmanuel d'Astier de La Vigerie, who was a member of the French Resistance, did some raids and published an underground newspaper, and then became associated with de Gaulle and ended up in London. The music was composed by Anna Marly, who was forced into exile when her family was killed by the Bolsheviks in the Russian Revolution. It is a touching song, and Cohen has the perfect voice and musical style for these kinds of melancholy draped romantics.

I love the Offsprings music videos.

Video wasn't bad, but this isn't about this video. It is about the actual song, so...1.5/5

4.5/5 Fudgin great. Cypress Hill kickin ass as usual, and Mike Shinoda sounded good too.

And now for some masterfully beautiful acoustic guitar melodies. Just imagine going on a road trip with this as the soundtrack.

@AmazonTreeBoa: lol. I can't resist. Even if you don't rate it, I dedicate this to you.

Not really sure what it is that you couldn't resist. Anyways 3.25/5 not bad, especially for Ozzy. Not his biggest fan. Not a hater, just never understood all the hype. Even have one of his albums on my iPod. Nirvana (your avatar) was another band I never understood all the hype over. Now Slayer (your sig) was my favorite band growing up. I still listen to them, but prefer their older stuff. They made high school great.

So I guess this one is for you.

4.5/5 Can't go wrong with Slayer.

I enjoy thrash metal like Slayer and Metallica a lot, but I absolutely LOVE industrial metal. 5/5.

Here is my next contribution.

That's my judgment ,the song's score would be something like 2/5 , but I gave it a 2.5 because the lead singer cutely looked like one of my favorite footballers.Of course you can re-post it if you think I wasn't fair. ;)

Come on people, rate the songs above your posts. This thread is supposed to at least seem like more than another "post a song" thread.

To that end, @XVision84, 4/5. Cool song. I love Alt-J's drummer. Minimalist genius. Brutal video, too.

I listened to that Wayne song, kept waiting for it to pick up and it never did. Not enough variance for 10 minutes. Sounds like someone turned on a drum machine, threw a cold one back and just started strumming.

Sorry, not my style.

Now this:
