Is it possible for an adult to be charged for buying alcohol for a minor? Like, having a 19 year old friend (I live in Canada) get charged for going to the LCBO and buying alcohol for younger people? I know the store itself can be charged, but whatabout like, accomplices?

I know for a fact that you can get in trouble for buying alcohol for minors in the US, and I'm sure similar laws exist in Canada.

The one who is legal age can get charged for selling alcohol to minors, that's why it is against the law. However, it depends where you're from, I guess. Canada, I don't know. But here, if you're not the legal guardian and you get caught, you can get charged for selling alcohol to minors.

Over here, where I work, we've refused to sell alcohol to a few people because we knew they were buying it for minors.

I know in the US there are fines for buying alcohol or cigarettes for minors. I don't know how he'd ever get caught if you don't stand around right outside the store.

It seems most places have laws against selling alcohol or buying alcohol for minors.

dosn't exist in the uk i don't think, quite oftern happens but you can get time for drinking on the streets and police can conviscate minor's alcohol if they're seen with it on the street so it only happens when people have parties and such
