Ugh.

What is this, I don't even.
Actually I thought The Amazing Spiderman was alright, so depending how good the trailer looks and how the critics will review it, I might consider watching the second installment. Also I'm curious to see how Paul Giamatti will play the Rhino.
They seem to be making the same mistake Spiderman 3 made. Too many villains. The movie was ok but i didn't care for the characters because they had little screentime.
Spiderman 2 found the perfect balance. The Doc Ock fight on the train is the highlight of the movie franchise for me

This exactly. They tried to put all those villains in that little bit of screen time. With that being said I enjoyed the first one so I will give this one a watch.
@leviathan91: paul giamatti as the rhino and his, this is how big the rhino will actually be, suit, with cg mapping points. computers might also use the data from the different angles that the light hits the foam.
edit
im not too into how the rhino looks.
Sigh... This is going to be another spiderman 3,right? Too many villains to properly develop them.
I hope this and every future spiderman movie flops so marvel can get the rights back.
Spiderman needs to be in the avengers.
I wish they would have more black actors in this. Even have spiderman be black.
Me too, white man is keeping us down.
Trying far too hard to create a franchise of films rather than one solid one. There's been talk that they're trying to set up a 'Sinister Six' climax that would "rival" The Avengers. A huge mistake in my opinion. 3 was a hot mess that really should have been a solid film. Too bad the execs at Sony wanted more stuff packed in at the 11th hour and shoehorned them into the final product. X-Men and Spidey look to be reverse engineering The Avengers, at least trying to.
I wish Marvel/Disney would open the wallets again and try to get their property(s) back in the stable.

It'd probably be WAY more expensive than what they initially got for selling the film rights to begin with. Maybe they figure it's best to let them fizzle out by themselves with bad movies, and reacquire them once Sony shows no more interest in them, much like Fox did with Daredevil, New Line with Blade and Lionsgate with The Punisher.
Besides, it's not as if Marvel is hurting for characters to make more movies / shows out of, anyway. While I would definitely like to see a Marvel produced Spider-Man film, I'm more interested in seeing in what they can do with other characters that some people like myself are not too familiar with--especially with Guardians of the Galaxy and Ant-Man slated down the line.

You're right of course about the price tag being far too high to justify presently. The trouble is waiting for the demise of the IP at the hands of Sony, could take decades. By that time we could be on our 3rd of 4th reboot.
While Marvel are not at a loss in the character arena, the Marvel Universe would be a much more fantastic place if it were populated with all it's heroes and villains. Seeing Spidey recruited into the Avengers would be a wonder to behold. I'm with you also on GotG and Ant-Man. There is so much potential for the future. Age of Ultron is my most anticipated film besides the inevitable Obi-Wan spin off film.
I thought the first one was better than any of the other Spider Man movies, so I'm excited for this one.
Liked the first one but I agree, Generally having two villains sucks hard.
It worked brilliantly for The Dark Knight trilogy.
@hallenbeck77: Three. Green Goblin, Rhino and Electro. I didn't like Spider-Man 3 because one of my favourite villains (Venom) had little screen time in order to give more to Sandman and New Goblin, I hope they don't screw up again.
Other thing, is that a mechanical Rhino? Aren't they gonna make a huge man on a rhinoceros skin like in the comic books?
I hope that the movie focuses on 2 villains while hinting the 3rd for the next film. Rhino and Electro being the ones to focus on while Goblin has more of a big boss role that doesn't do much on camera beside have some kind of connection to Rhino and Electro. If it doesn't, I hope it's not spam like the first Expendables and MK Annihilation where its cameo after cameo after cameo.
@lone_wolf_lance:
Well that's because it was like first half Joker and second half Harvey instead of having a mix of both through out. Was sort of needless to do so in DKR though.
is that..amechanical Rhino on the left? UGHHHH
Rhinos suit has always been mechanical even when it may not have looked it. Anyways the first one was spectacular so Im hyped for this one.
Too many villians, again. That was main problem with Spiderman 3. I still can't get over the fact that Jaimie Foxx is electro, odd.
Some more info.
First off, here's the official picture:
Namgis isn't the only one that thinks the Goblin resembles Garfield (I think so, too.) I don't think it's the case. It was pretty much confirmed a while back from Webb that Harry will be the Goblin.
The trailer will be released Thursday. The Russian trailer has been seen, however, and apparently it teases Doc Oc and The Vulture. So... Sinister Six?
