I'd have a medical release and if I did go I would have to be WAY away from the "action"  A reconstruction left wrist with limited movement and a left shoulder that likes to dislocate isn't good.

The actual age cap would be set by Congress.  Currently under old Draft law the draft focuses in on Men first 18, then 22 then 25, if necessary they would then go to 27.  If the times were hard they would extend the cap of 27 to 35. 

Technically they could move it to whatever they (congress) want it.  The countrys existance is paramount, therefore laws will be bent in order to preserve the country.  Army reservists inactive and active that are well over the age to be in combat have been called up just to handle the strain with Iraq and Af.
