So with season 6's finale last night, which is your favorite season of Dexter?

I still like Season 2 the best, for me its:

2>1>4>6>3>5

I think season 1. 3 was pretty good as well.

1 and 4. The rest is trash.

I've only seen through 4 so far... 1 is definitely the best of those in my opinion.

I only like the first two season of Dexter

#7 Posted by Sajo7 (14049 posts) -
The show sort of lost its atmosphere after the first two seasons, and it didn't help that Jimmy Smits has unintentionally hilarious in season 3. Of course John Lithgow was absolutely amazing in season 4, which I'm sure isn't new to anyone here. :P

I must be one of the very few who thoroughly enjoyed season five. That and one are my favourites.

#10 Posted by linkin_guy109 (8864 posts) -

season 4 had the best plot with the most twists, which i enjoyed definately, 1 put dexter on the map, 2 and 3 were good but not the best for me atleast, 5 had amazing potential after what happened in season 4 and with the way the season went, was a shame when....well, you know what happened at the end of season 5 :P season 6 was a throw away season until the last episode, so id say season 4 definately

#11 Posted by AFBrat77 (24092 posts) -

close battle....

#12 Posted by StRaItJaCkEt36 (567 posts) -
four is the best, only the first half of season 1 was good. the rest of it should have never aired.

1 > 2 > 4 >>> the rest

Season 1 and 4 by far, the antagonists there were actually memorable for me.

Season 1, closely followed by the one with jon lithco (forget which season that was)

Of the ones I've seen, season 2.

1>4>2>3>5>6 The only good part of season 6 was the last scene. I hope they don't screw up season 7.
#18 Posted by washnwax (313 posts) -

i voted other as ive enjoyed all the seasons but season 6 was a bit full-on with the god stuff...cant wait for season 7 now after seeing how 6 ended.

#19 Posted by Sunfyre7896 (1631 posts) -

This new ending is completely ridic but a long time coming. That's all I have to say.

1>4>2>3>6>5 They should wrap it up next season.

Co-sign. The others were decent with season 3 being the weakest by far. How do you think Season 7 will play out now that everything is out in the open?

#22 Posted by sonic__323 (23656 posts) -

I liked seasons 4 and 1 the most. Season 5 was quite disappointing, haven't seen the 6th season though.

Haha, yeah and even then they should've had that scene last season. Still I love the how it came after the boring/creepy "Dexter is the greatest person ever" arc. :P

You didn't like the first season? :o

After finishing Season 6, 6 is my favorite season followed by 2 and 4. Season 7 will be very interesting based on the last seconds of the finale.

4>2>1>3>5>6 6 was just terrible and very predictable. 4 was friggin amazing, it had one of the best endings I've seen on a TV show.

Really? You predicted the entire plot from the first episode? Or did you watch it and then think"Duh, its so obvious now that I have watched it and know what happened." The plot twist in 6 was actually rather surprising, I did not expect it which alone is suprising, I can usually predict a show from the first five minutes.

Season 1 is the only correct answer here

Good thing I dont read leaks and spoliers before watching a show, which would obviously affect my ability to predict certain things, not that I'm accusing anyone... :P

It was by accident, I just wanted to see what people thought about Brian's cameo :P

Well kudos to them. I personally didn't see it coming, but then I really had my heart set on Dexter having a confrontation with Admiral Adama. :P

Hello Dexter Morgan!!!

Trinity season was the best, with the second season coming real close with Doakes

Surprise M otha F ucka

Season 4 was the best, 6 is the least favorite, i don't know why they didn't make Dexter on the edge like always, there was always someone digging stuff from dexter's past or to know his real identity that makes us uncomfortable for the whole season, season 6 didn't have these kind of stuff and there were alot of opportunities like the babysitter or the new black detective.

plus there were some stupid moments Dexter was making in this season and he is supposed to be veeeery smart, for instance, the anonymous 911 call, it's like the director is lazy to shoot a scene where Dexter goes to a public phone booth to give the tip :?

I mean it's 911 and they could trace the call back if they wanted to and Dexter wouldn't want that chance to happen.

Oh and the new love interest from Deb, I mean cmon it doesn't make sense

the best episodes for season 6 are the first and last, all of the middle was meh.

And Colin Hanks should've been in the evil mode since the beginning, watching him look like a stupid f*** for the most part of the season was not fun, the moment we knew the truth about Geller and Travis's persona changed he became more interesting.

Season 6 is surprisingly below average what Im used to see in Dexter which makes me wonder what freaking happened with the writers?

#40 Posted by AFBrat77 (24092 posts) -

nice to see all the responses by why the lack of love for season 2?

Was it because of Leila? Or Rita's annoying ex-husband? Or?

#41 Posted by immortality20 (7957 posts) -

Trinity Killer all the way. Loved that. Didn't get to see any of the current season though.

Maybe because He's been on the edge the last 5 seasons and that would be been seen a mile a way? They wanted to do somethind different for once? I dont see how that is a bad thing.

Season 4 in the lead....

#46 Posted by Venom_Raptor (6958 posts) -

It's really tough putting them in order, as I love every season of Dexter.

4 > 6 > 5 > 3 > 1 > 2

#47 Posted by Iszdope (9744 posts) -

I've only seen about 15 minutes of an episode.

Not interested.

#48 Posted by Deihjan (30213 posts) -
The books.
#49 Posted by Iszdope (9744 posts) -

Nah, I'll pass on those too thanks.

1 > 4 > 2 > 3 > 6 > 5 The first season is so good. I mean, I love John Lithgow in the fourth season (and it's definitely a close second), but the first season was so excellent in its atmosphere, pacing, suspense, build-up, etc. It was interesting. Dexter (the character) has gotten a bit repetitive as the seasons have gone on. I still love the character and love Michael C. Hall, but the first season is just so fresh.
