Since Grade 7 I have a piece of lead under my skin because my teacher accidently stabbed me with a pencil. Does it come out eventually? Cause I'm 16 now and I can see it through my skin. :?

I had a chunk of glass stuck in my hand for about 6 years.. one day i got out of the shower and heard something drop on the floor, looked at my hand and it had just opened itself up and dropped it out. I could see into my hand :o

Its graphite :D...Charchoal basicaly.
I didnt know you could write with lead...
Yeah, I would go to the doctor. If the was ever to dislodge and puncture a vein, that would not be good. I'm sure a dermatologist could get it out quite easily.
It may or may not come out on its own.
In the past I've worked with dip pens and India ink quite a bit. As such, I've had the tendency to accidentally stab my figures with the pens due to the sharp points. I thus now have small "tattoos" on several of my fingers that have been there for several years now...
pencil = graphite not lead...been that way for quite some timeSince Grade 7 I have a piece of lead under my skin because my teacher accidently stabbed me with a pencil. Does it come out eventually? Cause I'm 16 now and I can see it through my skin. :?

Lots of people have foreign bodies stuck in their skin (or deeper). If it's not threatening some vital organ, it's probably totally harmless, and may be there forever without anyconsequence. But, if you're not sure, or it is really bugging you, have your doctor remove it.
Had something very similar happen to me except it was in 2nd or 3rd grade got into a fight and have graphite in the palm of my hand, under my skin. Now I'm 19 and no problems so far just come up with an elaborate story that makes you look badass.
Actually when i was going through the airport security last week, after having a metal rod installed in my leg for a broken leg, It went off and when they scanned me and i told them it was the rod, they strip searched me THEN made me wait in the airport for almost 12 hours before they finally agreed to call my doctor and confirm...Does it set off metal detectors lol? Well there is that rare risk that small foreign objects in your skin can enter a vein and travel to your heart killing you. If youre not worried about that then ignore it or see your doctor.
