PewDiePie is an absolute crap gamer to watch, I really don't understand how he is the top of the youtube food chain.....

Well that would be dumb. The guy already makes $4 million/year making videos on YouTube. Having a TV show will take up lots of his personal time to show planning and probably effect his making videos on YouTube. Plus, being on TV isn't so glamorous for many, TV hosts don't typically make a whole lot, not no $4 million/year, except the very best.

I think his YouTube success comes from bot views. It's gonna be hard to fake something like a Nielsen rating.

I like his videos though, don't watch them all the time but there's some I like. At first I hated him but I've slowly come around to watching him from time to time.

I dont really know if it would really take up a lot of his time he wouldnt really have to supervise or lend his voice normally there is a specialized group of people for that! I think hed probably be a producer or something like that, but any way its probably more likely that its not a show but still would really love to know were the image came from and why it was created! I feel it would be a good show!

Actually I dont think it would be that stupid. But I do believe he said a youtube short series were on his plans. It's actually pretty smart. It consolidates him as a franchise and it would significantly increase his networth. But this is probably just a leaked image from the actual work in progress. I have seen it a thousand times. Some guy just needs to take a copy from the studio and upload it from a bk's wifi.

Am I? its a casual observation. what makes watching him play games good? there are far better players out there.

He just seems to have that camp aesthetic that lots of lowly teens would watch.

First, we got a weird guy who succesfully make money for making weird videos, Second, we got people who create a Show About this guy. SHIT JUST GOT REAL.

Lowest-common-denominator humor. He`s like Mr. Bean, except without the great character acting.

Also, success on Youtube has always been measurable to your ability to share your media, rather than a gauge of any kind of quality. Take a look at any top Youtuber and chances are they are not funny/interesting/entertaining.

@MBirdy88: Im not saying the guy is a genious, he is far from there. But at least he keeps people laughing and playing stuff. People take him far too seriously, and well.. there are worse people in tv, government, movies and youtube itself!

So, you don't laugh at crap gamers? Gamers who struggle super hard to get to a certain goal and fail over and over? I do... I laugh at myself sucking at Megaman and Super Mario all the time. Especially since they are my favorite games and when I'm playing with someone who keeps dying on me over and over, I think that's damn hilarious. Also agree with toast_burner about the high pitched screaming and rape jokes. I think those part of his videos are annoying. I really do enjoy watching him fail at games though, especially his Dark Souls II videos.

I prefer Markiplier. He seems a little more down to Earth and Humble
