Hey guys. Itt post your age and I will keep track of the average GS age. For discussion post how much things have changed in your lifetime. Tech has really changed in a relatively short amount of time. Discuss things like maybe how you watch shows and movies has altered from pre 2003 to post 2003. For people like wk77 discuss the Cold War or the advent of the remote. Wonder who the oldest user will be. Topsemag seems to be among the oldest(56). Know there are a few older then that. So anywho, discuss.

23.... Unless you mean actual gamespot age as in how long I've been a member of gamespot, in which case 9 years... Not entirely interested in going into all the things I've seen change over the years. Way too much with nothing I can particularly point out has changed...

27 in April.

I remember the fun of manually tuning analogue TV's, listening to my parents music on cassette, the advent of the discman, Eiffel 65, watching good cartoons (for the most part) on TV......etc, etc, whatever else...

This is why we need to invent time travel...

There's something that's wrong with having everything you need. When I was playing on my Nintendo 64 and such, I would create games in my head that sounded incredible, with so much things to do and so many ways to do it. I knew the 64 was incapable of playing such amazing games, but now, those imaginary games exist in some form or another. It feels like I've got it all now. There's nothing left to have fun speculating over.

I don't like people on the internet knowing. Only one user here knows and that was by blunder on my half.

EDIT: I'm not some ridiculous age like a 10 year old, or a 60 year old, I'm on average with everyone who's posted here, know that.

21. I came to the site long, long ago, under a different account. That account got banned because I was an obnoxious little snot. I believe I joined around the time the PS2 hype was getting really big. I was way too young to be on the internet... I'm really glad they banned me honestly.

thought you were talking about how long we have been a member here at first:P

Im 22.

i remember when we couldnt be on the internet and use the phone at the same time. was oen or the other.

i remember actually playing outside with the neighborhood kids. kickball on our yards/backyards with random objects as bases(frisbees, trashcan lids, scooters rocks etc.)playing hockey in the street with recycle bins as nets. moving them when cars came by. challenging each other and seeing what we could jump over while roller blading. riding bikes. trying to skateboard and failing miserably. good times.

i remember having to carry around a CD player with a CD Case to listen to music. was a bonus if the CD player had radio also. Had to pack some Double A batteries also. had to make sure to keep your CDs in good condition so they wouldnt skip.

Car rides seemed to last for ages and we tried to fall asleep ASAP to pass the time.

portable VCRs for the car rides.

i remember when my parents first got their first cell phone. screen was so small and had no color. just lots of black squares.

Using blank VCR tapes to record shows/movies

i remember actually having to watch your shows on the time they came on, as no DVR back then only VCRs:P

wanting to wake up early on the weekends when they actually played good cartoons.

The DBZ Frieza Saga.

i remember watching Pokemon, before they added different regions.

Yu-Gi-Oh on TV.

remember dueling my firends with Yu-Gi-Oh cards.

Trading Pokemon Cards and building your collection of cards. before the second gen, just the 150.

Gameboy Advance

Pokemon Gold/Silver/Crystal

Pokemon Ruby/Sapphire/Emerald. i remember first time i caught Rayquaza, was so excited, ran down the street to show my friends. good times.

22, I remember watching reruns of Cosby Show before going to bed the next day for school and remembering waiting for that 5-7 block on Cartoon Network for Toonami as well as Saturday Morning/Night cartoons.... oh I miss those times. Sometimes I wish we still lived in the 90s/early 00s where everything was not about the internet and people actually hung outside and all, I remember always playing in the park and nowadays on a Saturday you never really see many people at parks and what not

63.

I remember black and white tv on a tiny screen AND NO REMOTE! I remember Milton Berle and Jackie Gleason and Andy Griffin and sharing one television with my family.

I remember transistor radios and marveling at how small they were.

I remember taking a computer class in college - and the computer was as big as a house. I remember using punch cards.

I remember my first game system was an Atari. I played Pong and Bezerk for hours.

I remember my first cell phone was huge - and extremely heavy.

I remember seeing Star Wars on the big screen and being totally blown away by the story and effects.

I remember going "online" for the first time.

20. I remember the dark days of dial up internet where downloading a 4MB file took ages and I was forced to give up my internet time because my mother wanted to make a phone call. I remember the good ol' Nick at Nite, staying up watching the Cosby Show, Roseanne and the Fresh Prince. I remember waking up early every morning to watch Power Rangers and Digimon, and when Pokemon was actually worth watching (oh the feels I got when watching the first movie). I remember the beauty that was the N64, and all the fun times I had with my bro, cousin and friends playing Mario Kart and James Bond: The World is Not Enough. And so much more. Dammit, I miss my childhood. Life was easy then.
