Recently finished Braid and Guacamelee. Guacamelee was great fun, though pretty short,. Liked the Mexican vibe, but the pop culture references became grating after a while. Hopefully they can make a sequel or something to expand on the idea, I want to check out the dev's earlier games now too. Braid was interesting, the puzzles were challenging but not so much so that I pulled my hair out in frustration. The whole "story" thing fell flat for me though, maybe I just missed the point completely, but I never felt like the story bits and the puzzles really meshed in a meaningful way until the final level. Not that the story parts were bad or anything, just that sitting around in a level for twenty minutes thinking of solutions to a puzzle removes any chance of contemplating the six or so sentences you just read.
Played through Fez for a few hours but I think I'm done with it for now. I love the idea (rotating world), but it's so damn slow to play though. I don't think I've ever quit a game until now because of how slow the game was, but it takes FOREVER for Gomez to do anything, and there's no quick travel system. Getting all the way to the end of the a branch of puzzles and then realizing you have to go through like 3 more to finish that section off completely kills all the fun the game has.
Still trying to figure out what to play next. Probably will finish my "recursion" through Transistor (fuckin' great game) and then start something more substantial, like Fallout NV or try and finish Dark Souls.
