Opinions on Freddie Gibbs

My opinion:

I've listened to 4 of his albums now, and I have to say, it's some of the sickest shit I've heard for a long, long time

Yes; naturally there are boring songs, but there are also songs I'd consider modern classics, like 'thuggin', 'rob a n****' or 'still livin 2'.

He's a mix of 90s capone n noreaga trap music, 2pac and 90s wu tang as you go thru his discography. It's crazy breh

What's your opinion?

While I'm not really into Rap but I will say that I have only 3 songs from Freddie Gibbs on one of my mix CD and he's awesome. I listen to all kinds of musics but Hard Rock has always been my favorite genre.

i guess it can be difficult to appreciate the shift in quality between drake and freddie gibbs if you don't listen to rap in general and as such haven't developed the ear for it yet

Well that's it, I only have these songs on my mix CD when there's nothing good on the radio and like to listen to good Rap such as Freddie Gibbs.

Just listened to him for the first time (Pronto, In the Projects, BFK). He's alright, it's not my favorite kind of rap so I'm not the best to judge it but I do like it. Will probably run through Pinata and some of his mixtapes later to get a better feel for him.

This shit was pretty dope.

I'll have to check out more of his stuff.

My two favorite artists right now are Devin the Dude and Z-ro, Z-ro has so many **** a bitch songs gotta love it.

I'm not a fan of Rap myself but I do listen to it every now and then, only a few Rappers I'll listen and Freddie Gibbs is one of them. That said, Hard Rock is my favorite genre all the way.
