Before jetting off for two weeks’ vacation, President Obama laid the blame for the Iraq crisis at the doorstep of the Bush administration

While true, Bush is not the president anymore. He should own up and take the damn responsibility. If we don't want to fight this war anymore, just man up and say so.

Goddam BS, not another life or any more dollars to anything in the middle east.

The US is only partially to blame for the problems in the Middle East. The ultra-violent Islamic extremists are largely to blame. If they never attacked the US, the US would never have invaded Afghanistan and started the progression of events that lead us to present.

Even Hillary has stepped up her shots on dithering Obama.

I ate pizza yesterday while watching golf as the middle east burned. Then again I'm a terrible person.

Also Alex Jones? Really?

Going on vacation while you have soldiers in active combat really is in very poor taste.

I like how suddenly the Middle East is the US's problem, yet people incessantly bitch about the US getting involved in anything overseas...

#9 Posted by Treflis (11593 posts) -

And?

He's required to sit 24/7 trying to fix a mess that only two other parts can fix but refuse to?

It depends... what kind of pizza?

If he can only play golf when there is no violence in the middle east, then when exactly should he (or any president for that matter) go play golf? Do you hate all presidents for playing golf (or hanging out at their ranch in Texas) instead of solving other peoples problems for them?

There is always something horrible going on while someone does something to relax. Really lame sensationalism OP. Try harder. Also Alex Jones is a joke.

You are joking, right? Comrade Obama man up and take responsibility for something bad happening? Surely you jest. I wouldn't waste a drop of warm piss on this character but maybe it is time for Iraq and everyone else in the Middle East to figure their problems out on their own.

#22 Posted by seahorse123 (1228 posts) -

@Solaryellow: While Saudi Arabia, Turkey and the United States and their allies have trained and funded ISIS for 4 years in Syria and Jordan. ISIS is Al Qaeda retrained and re-branded. Iraq will be divided into 3 parts Iran has a bit Saudi will have a bit then ISIS can have the west of Iraq so it can constantly hit Syria to defeat the government. And now Obama does these fake attacks to try and look like he is doing something, if he wanted to do something he would of bombed them when they were first starting to take parts of Iraq but he waited so they could grow because they need the constant war and so they can justify taking peoples rights away in the west.

Man, I haven't played golf in years.

I don't even know where those old clubs are though...

#24 Posted by seahorse123 (1228 posts) -

@Celldrax: Probably in an ISIS training centre, Obama left them behind.

Yes, you're right, but when? When are they gonna take over?

I think the leader of a nation who is dropping bombs on people probably should skip the vacation he had planned, yes.

#28 Posted by Solaryellow (494 posts) -

All I care about is how the United States can never mind its own business and has to get involved in matters where it has no business in doing so.

What a shame.

Obama has a responsibility as President of the Middle East to do something about this.

G W Bush takes 879 days of vacation, average 110 days per year of time off in his two terms, whereas Obama averages 21.5 days per year. But let's complain because it's obama.

I don't see how someone else doing it more suddenly makes it OK for Obama to do it... Also, it's all about timing. I feel like when you make the decision to start combat operations (bombing) in another country, you probably shouldn't be vacationing right after.

it's almost as if people think the president doesnt do work on vacation. Hint: he's always on work

Why does that chart refer to Bush Jr. as "Bush II?" I do not believe that "junior" and "the second" can be used interchangeably like that.

All presidents need to take vacations and engage in leisure activities. It's a stressful job and nobody wants a burned out president.

Lol Alex Jones. That guy is a paranoid dinosaur.

#44 Posted by seahorse123 (1228 posts) -

You all laugh at this guy because you don't understand what he is saying you may here stories like "Moon landing denier" and you see that one story and you make up your mind about him. You don't look into ALL of his stories you just see the wildest ones you don't see the bigger picture and guess what the people who write smear campaigns on Alex Jones are establishment mouthpieces who want you to believe this guy is a nut. Stop the ignorance.

Indeed, people say you age two days for ever day you are president. While I'm sure that causes lots of problems (such as the job only attracting the truly insane) I can only imagine how much worse things would get for the country if a guy doing a job like leading the country could not go on vacation now and again.

#46 Posted by seahorse123 (1228 posts) -

@Serraph105: Seriously he is a lying puppet dictator worse than bush. It is a "no watch this drive" moment again. And I don't support the republicans either they are just a group of lying puppet thugs and Obama needs to be imprisoned for violating the constitution.
