yeah, right, when police "investigate" what they really mean is buy themselves time for people to forget before they excuse cops for their misbehavior by saying they deem there was no official miscondiuct, in the meantime the dirty pigs will receive months of paid vacation, then all but pin a medal on them for their valor when they robbed a citizen

It really is disgusting how police departments treat misconduct from their officers. It almost reminds me of a fraternity or a military squadron where the main priority is to protect the group, or your "brothers". They do their job, but it's obviously some aren't on the civilians side, their on their own side, and the other cops just protect them when troublemakers get bad press.
This is OT's new thing? Bash Merican cops everyday?
I know most cops aren't bad people, but there a noticeable number of bad eggs out there. I really hope the officer who stole $1300 and maced the construction worker gets not only fired but given a prison sentence. An employer shouldn't want someone like that representing them. And I do think that any profession that grants some position of authority or power (politician, cop, prison guard, manager, etc.) will attract its fair share of psychopaths. This is something that shouldn't be taken lightly. Put yourself in that worker's shoes or the shoes of anyone who's been victimized by police brutality; you'll understand why these types of threads are so common.
