New Mountain Dew ad gets pulled for supposedly being misogynist and racist

I could forgive all of that if it was actually funny. And outside of the "Dew It" meme, I don't see what it has to do with Mountain Dew at all.

I personally didn't think it was racist or misogynistic, mind you it wasn't funny either. Just my opinion I guess.

That was offensive to my intelligence, but nothing more.

The people getting mad at this must not know that Tyler the Creator is a f*cking weirdo and that stuff like this is normal for him. Hell, his instagram name is Felicia the Goat. I'm assuming that's Felicia in the commercial right there :lol:

Also, I'm not seeing the racism or misogyny. The commercial's just stupid.

Honestly, has to be the worst ad I've ever seen. It doesn't make me want to drink Mountain Dew. It doesn't even really make sense.

I know it was supposed to be funny. My point is that ads for the most part are excruciatingly not funny, whether they're supposed to be or not. This is no exception. themajormayor

Tyler, the Creator is a rapper who got semi-famous because of how the lyrics in his music were creepy and he talked about things like rape. What the f*ck was Mountain Dew expecting when they had him create a commercial for them? If anything that could've been way worse.

That's like another company (I forget who) who recently dropped Rick Ross because he rapped some misogynistic lyrics. You guys hired a rapper whose entire gimmick is that he's a drug lord, did you really expect him to start acting family-friendly?

The ad is just stupid.  I am only offended because the subject matter just isnt funny.  THe only connection is the word "do" (or dew) that the goat says.  its just a dumb commercial.

That whole clip just made them look really stupid. I like how dude says he was laughing at some comedian blasting muslims after 9/11. But some stupid commercial put together by some weird rapper is racist and offensive.

I didn't find it racist or misogynistic. It was just weird.

Dark humor is un apetizing, but i like dark humor in appropriate coonext. But this isnt really Dark Humor cause its not funny. Its pretty offencive IMO. Especially the line were the goat sais "I gonna Dew you up" That to me has the connotation of sexual abuse. Not funny at all. Wierd as hell too.

Black guy creates ad depicting blacks, called racist. Even if they're referring to the white woman I still don't think it's racist, just weird.

Only watched the first ad.  Honestly, I can see how people would actually get offended. Don't blame them. That, and it's jsut not funny whatsoever. Like at all.  Whoever wrote it must have been high when they did, because there's no way anyone could think that's funny.
