Your OP offers nothing to discuss and the article you quoted is so full of fluff that it offers very little to discuss either.
The main criticism of him seems to be that he is a showman, which when trying to spread the word about global warming in an interesting and engaging way is probably rather important.
The Federalist is an ultrabiased junk website that nobody should take seriously. A quick glance around at their other pieces made it clear they're not trustworthy sources. Do yourself a favor and stop reading that trash.
The whole article criticizes him based on the misuse of the term "average" in place of "median" and putting everything he said out of context. Big f'ing deal. I'd even bet Neil did it on purpose to explain what he wanted to say with concepts more familiar with his audience.
If anything you could criticize him based on the fact that speaking of average is a no-win situation since improvement of the things that are "below average" means the average gets raised so for the average to work somebody else must fall below it and the cycle would begin again. But no, god forbid using your brain.
Please try to not look like a fool the next time you want to criticize a public person.
that may be the most words used to say absolutely nothing that i have ever seen.
congrats anti science nutbags.
Yea, you'd have to be blind not to see the glaring partisanship of the author as you read the article. I watched most of Cosmos series and while I didn't necessarily agree with everything said there, it was a good watch nonetheless. Its almost admirable the number of words this guy used to say nothing of substance. I was particularly amused with the term "Science of smug condescension" even though that it has some "truth" to it.
Let's see....who should I give more credence to on a topic of science...an Ivy League (Harvard and Columbia) educated PhD. in Astrophysics or a conservative writer without a science background (BA in Philosophy)? Hmmm...
I like when DMC makes these threads then they backfire and he never posts again lol.
I am sure he is rationalizing it in his head that we are all the crazy people.
DevilMightCry Thread, probably not going to spend my time reading the same garbage you do. Can I assume its from a completely biased source which has taken everything he says out of context while supporting contrary views on climate change?
