Choosing actors based on physical appearance instead of acting capabilities is a stupid thing to do.

There are extremely rare circumstances were physical appearance may ultimately trump acting, such as Andre the Giant's casting in The Princess Bride (Not to speak ill of his acting, because it wasn't half bad).
