Nathan Jones would have been a better Bane?

http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0428923/ Nathan Jones rose upon the world strongman scene in 1995 and showed promise to become perhaps the top competitor in the world. At 6' 11" and 360 lbs., the giant Australian known as Megaman was an imposing sight and used his great size and strength to place high in the World Musclepower Championships.. Tom Hardy lacked height and had a Brittish accent. I think they goofed in this one. What do you think?
#2 Posted by JML897 (33133 posts) -

He was also an awful actor in WWE. If you're a sh*t actor even by WWE standards you have no business having a big role in any blockbuster movie

So Tom Hardy has a British accent. Christian Bale isn't American either. And are you saying any gym rat is better than Tom Hardy?
#4 Posted by SaintLeonidas (26733 posts) -
Hell no. Size wasn't the only thing required for that character in Nolan's film.

Plus he plays Jean Luc Picards clone.....enough said that was such a sinister dude

I think not. Nothing wrong with Tom Hardy.
#9 Posted by caseypayne69 (5390 posts) -
Was just throwing it out there. Surely acting lessons would help most people.

Exactly. He's so dreamy.

But did anyone really have that big a problem with Tom Hardy?
#12 Posted by The__Kraken (858 posts) -

Choosing actors based on physical appearance instead of acting capabilities is a stupid thing to do.

There are extremely rare circumstances were physical appearance may ultimately trump acting, such as Andre the Giant's casting in The Princess Bride (Not to speak ill of his acting, because it wasn't half bad).

Hardy wasn't the best choice for bane, no. However, I imagine that Hardy is a million times better as an actor than Jones. I feel that Vin should have gotten the role.

Nathan Jones would of made a terrible Bane.

Nathan Jones is awful. Tom Hardy did a great job and it's unfortunate he didn't have more screen time(I want those deleted scenes of Bane training with the LoS).

I think that's an absolutely atrocious idea and would have been a crime against humanity.

Tom Hardy's voice was enough to get praise from me. I was half expecting some giant muscle bound idiot with grunts and yelling. I was actually surprised and in a good way at how Bane was shown. Now maybe Nathan Jones could of played cat women. There really wasn't much farther down that role could of went.

Tom Hardy is hot. Nathan Jones? Nah...

Nathan Jones should have been cast as Robin.

You should make a suicide thread just for how dumb that post was.

I don't know about you, but personally speaking I tend to avoid threads about things I don't like. It's pretty easy to do really.

You misunderstand, I don't care about bronies. I'm still not sure what a bronie is. I was just trying to troll batman fans. Man I suck at trolling. I think I need more training.

There, there. I'm sure there are plenty of people in OT who will teach you the ways of the troll-fu.

Patience young padawan. The art of trolling requires years of dedicated practice. Train, take your vitamins and say your prayers and one day you too shall be counted amongst the great trolls of our age.

My reaction is close to the gmod episode where the guy asks if anyone wants to know what the bottom of an avatar's shoe looks like.
