Movie News: Keanu Reeves To Star In Fox's Live Action Cowboy Bebop Movie

There are times when I like to see people's reactions to certin articles when it comes to entertainment news.

This is one of those times.

Today, Fox has announced that Keanu Reeves will be playing Spike Spiegel in their live action version of Cowboy Bebop. There hasn't been a director attached as of yet, but no doubt it'll be announced. I, personally, never seen the show, but I am familiar with some of the characters. I KNOW there is someone who will be pissed at this news.

What do you think, people?

I'd say this about sums up my opinion of this...

Cowboy Bebop is my all time favorite show. I really hope they don't screw it up.

Not too happy about Keanu Reeves as Spike, but I really hope they don't do something too silly like a CGI Edward.

Ah well...live action versions don't generally fare too well as it is and I suppose it's kind of a relief to just go ahead and write this one off as a lost cause. This type of horrible casting is the reason why an Elric movie will never get made. Lord_Daemon

But yes...there's the slim chance a decent director could come out and somehow salvage the project -- look what Aronofsky did with Rourke! Although I guess orginally Nicholas Cage was supposed to be in Rourke's role so imagine how bad that would've probably been.

Well WB nabbed the rights to Ninja Scroll and Akira. (Which I hear they are going to do a big Franchise off)

I think FOX is trying to come back at them with this upcoming Cowboy Bebop movie.

I can't wait to see how his hair will look. :P I don't think the movie will be that great imo. soulless4now
