Naw swimming. Did it for 12 years and no other sport gives you that much of a work out. I did wrestling, football, you name it but swimming is the worst.
Football is probably the easiest highschool sport to play. Other than golf.
Wrestling would, from my experience, have to be the most demanding.
two practices a day in football...if I wasn't so awesome I would've quit like a lot of others did...our coach was as hardnosed as they get..

SPORT, not nerd extra curricular activity.

For my team, Baseball, because our coach refuses to lose. Even though we lose every game. We've had kids cut off their casts so that they dont get yelled at for missing a practice (no joke). I quit after a few weeks because after each practice (which is every day) you ran about 10+ miles and 300 push-ups or so.
Hey that sounds just like what i'm doing now! Get up at 630 in the morning, leave around 7 for an 8-330 practice or 2. It may not be the toughest sport to play (depending on your position) but it sure takes commitment and you need to know a lot of $*ittwo practices a day in football...if I wasn't so awesome I would've quit like a lot of others did...our coach was as hardnosed as they get..

Trying to get to second base with that really cute chick that sat in front of me in Biology...or that okay looking girl in World History....or the one girl with the buck teeth in English.
Jeez. Thank God I'm not in high school anymore.
Wouldn't it be awesome if high schools took students off classes so they can participate and practice in WCG.
I've got a cousin who does crew(rowing) and he runs a 5:10 mile and benches 325 pounds. It combines the worst of both aerobic and anaerobic.
I would have to say football. Think about it, imagine 11 guys running at you at full speed weighing anywhere between 160 - 220 pounds. The Offensive and Defensive Line is where real work and action is at.
i can't agree with football at all. it's a team sport. you can hide behind the lineman. in wrestling, it's just you and your opponent, face to face. every one in the room staring at you
problably water polo. Its really tough, and the training is every bit as hard as wrestling.
Football is up there too, though I admit its a little more laid back because it is sprint-based training and not endurance-based training like wrestling and treading water.
Swimming I would say. When your really going for it, another words when your doing it right it'll make you ache.
This is the answer I was thinking of: cross-country.For me, I'd say cross country.
Swimming comes in a close second.

Piss off your social studies teacher with Post-Marxist and anti-Neoliberal arguments...guaranteed to make him/her think twice about wearing her/his stupid white "sneakers"...
Wrestling was pretty intense, especially when we lost to our rivals. Oh man the practice the next day was hell...
No way whilst its not eactly hi school, i would say motox thats what i did in hi school and will pick up again after uni but the point is halfway through a race your focus begins to falter and fail and you begin to make mistakes somtimes big mistakes (looks at his collarbones :( ) . We couldn't hasve a throw up bucket for obvious reasons but I have been at the point of dry reaching whilst racing a few timesi'd have to go with wrestling. folkstyle, freestyle, and greco. the conditioning is crazy. we have a throw up bucket.
