Anyone getting a shitload of anti-smoking ads showing cancer patients and people missing all if their teeth? I know that they are trying to discourage smoking but that is just an eyesore. It reminds me of the cartons of cigarettes they sold in Basra, Iraq on the British military base over there a few years ago.

Before someone says get Adblock I already got it on my computer, all of the ads I'm seeing are when I am on my iPad. Not too many choices there I am satisfied with.

I remember this kind of ads from when I didn't have adblock. They're pretty annoying. I prefer ads of horny housewives in my area. :P

I honestly don't pay attention to the ads so I don't know what they are.

@LJS9502_basic: Normally I would say the same thing but it's a little hard to ignore them when they take up a quarter of the screen and have possibly the sickest cancer patient they can find.

Since everybody wants to brag that they aren't seeing any ads can anybody recommend a decent adblocker that works with Chrome on iPad? The only free one I saw was a custom browser and didn't work with Safari or Chrome.

Ad-block+ is a wonderful thing. I get no ads on this site or any other.

Oh you said Ipad. I am not sure if that will work on that, but I use chrome on my PC and use it for that.

No ads here bother me at all. The only ad that annoys me is when I'm using my touch screen phone and an home depot banner is plotted at the bottom of when I'm browsing the GS forums.

Going by half of the responses, I can see most of you just read the topic title and scrolled straight to the reply box without reading my second paragraph...

Which probably took more time than reading the OP would've.

Though if there is Adblock on iPad, that's great. I don't have one so I've got no idea.

iPad has an adblock app but it only works on their standalone browser. It has no effect on the stock browser or Chrome. I could just stick to my computer but if I'm on the couch or in bed I just use my tablets or my phone. There are some paid apps that claim to work on all browsers but I really don't want to buy an app that I would only use on one website. As for my phone, the mobile GS site has ads but they're so small you don't even notice them.

The most annoying ads are the mini videos that automatically play. Then you're like where the hell is that sound coming from? Horribly annoying.

I don't, I won't accept ancient and obsolete mechanisms that only serve irrelevant crap. Gamespot and the internet as a whole needs to move on.
