More Addicted to Gamespot than Gaming?

Does anyone feel that they or someone else spends too much time on the Gamespot website?  More time discussing games than actually playing them?  Has Gamespot turned into the next Myspace or has Myspace turned into the next Gamespot?  Are you concerned about being judged by your user rating level or amount of posts?

Bring any answers and like-minded questions to this thread as I dwell on this mystery.

You can be serious, or just have fun, either way, I think this can get interesting.

My name is "Justin" and I am a Gamespot addict...Not really, but I do log in about 6 hours a day on the site while I'm at work.  No other choice, I can't bring my consoles to work, and can't get caught emulating.  Might as well spend time reading and writing about games while getting paid, right?  Other than that, I spend all of my free time playing games.  Am I addicted to actual gaming?  Yeah, most def.

My 1000+ Nintendo library finally got old and Gamespot hasn't been as hot as it was back then so, I can't really say.

That's how it starts, then next thing you know you're on the computer at 4 a.m. checking to see who responded to your posts.  You're sweating, desperate to get your GS fix.  But it doesn't come as easily as it first did.  You're getting into more hardcore stuff now, joining unions, writing reviews.  Your parents and friends don't even recognize you anymore, you don't even recognize you anymore.

Then one day, you wake up and you're doing things in the back of an alley for money to pay your internet bill that you've only read about in the news, and you remember how it all started in a forum with, "I can't be addicted if I just joined today."
